Oh dear lord please make it stop!!!! When will it end?!?! I have a 30 mile each way commute to work every damn day, and what do i have to look forward to? I have to sit in line for 20 damn minutes just to get ON the freeway, then i get to sit in the worlds longest damn parking lot!!! Its insideous, you sit and barely move for 10 minutes, cruise on up to 20 miles an hour and you think youre free, but NNNNOOOOOOo back to a parking lot for 10 minutes, during which time you maybe move 100 feet, then back to slightly moving, back to traffic. And usually youre at a dead stop, then you let out the clutch BAM you stop. Again, and again, and again. My drive took an hour and 20 minutes yesterday, ten minutes longer today cuz of fog. Every weekday for the last 2 and a half years ive sat in this crap and watched it get worse and worse...I really cant take it anymore, i want to shoot myself, we also have a nice little money making device for the california gov called a carpool lane, fuck that shit! During peak hours of traffic, a lane is closed to people who dont have more than one person in the car, and if you get caught in it, you get a minumum 272 dollar fine, and it goes up and up for every damn ticket you get!!! Its a sham!!!! Ive gotten 7 of the fuckers!!! And what makes it worse?!?! They dont go on your record as points, its just free money for the government. They create the traffic, and you pay for it. Fuck that shit, fuck it fuck it fuck it. Something HAS TO BE DONE about this shit, i honestly feel we working folk are being punished or something, someone please help!!!!!

Yep same exact probs in san dag.

You've gotten 7 carpool violation cit's?

Take some P7 before the commute. I enjoy my time in traffic. I get to listen to my tapes and cds from the learning company.

What kind of car do you drive? Sport cars can make anyone into a lead foot.

We're right behind you with the nations second worst traffic; the Wash, DC metro area.

Fortunately I live only 20 minutes from work and it's all back roads.

Methyl,

It was much, much worse in the boom days in the Valley. Traffic has went way down.

Time for you to get up and go to the gym and hit that AM cardio. Then you beat the commute.

Back when I was in the delivery business we had offices in LA SAN SFO and after 5 years we finally gave up. The traffic made it impossible to make a living there, and that was 13 years ago. I can't even imagine what it's like now that there are another 16 million people living there with the same number of lanes that there were back then.

Traffic sucks ballz everywhere (world-wide). My commutes are via cab/plane (occasional rental car) when I'm on-the-road and and when I'm not, I get outta bed...stagger 3 steps to the left and...BAM...the stress begins (no drive).

But...I would rather have a 60 minute commute in my car with traffic versus week-in, week-out getting up 2 - 5 AM, cabbin' it to an airport, flying (enough miles for constant first class upgrades but it still sucks) who knows where, cabbin' again, work stressin' all day, back to a hotel and the next day...well...you get the idea.

Hahaha Methyl I know what you mean about the clutch in traffic. I love my 6 speed but in a traffic jam I go nuts http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Kind of sounds like the traffic anywhere between the valley and San Diego.

I can’ imagine anyone living in riverside and taking the 91 anywhere, ever, or the 10,
60, 210 or the worst the 5

Except the absolute worst is the 101

24 hours a day.
