Im wondering if anyone has used this?

For those that dont know, the new napster has a license agreement with "5 major labels", although they don't say who, and tons of indie's and smaller labels. They now charge 99cents a song, or $10 for an entire album. You can also listen to the first 30sec of any song for free.

This all sounds great, but I cant find if there's a monthly membership fee, or if they'll even have any music I like. This could be either a really cool way to bypass corporate homogenized music. I'm hoping so.

If you're going to pay, use apple's pay service, they have the best selection, according to the WSJ.

If you're on budget, the used CD's stores have a great selection, they sell the CD's for a reasonable price to boot and you can make as many backup copies as you want.

I have a devote christian friend that pirates music all day long. For some reason he believes there is nothing wrong with downloading whole albums, yet he has a problem with the five finger discount. I don't see a diff. do you?

I'm listening to Outkast right now off Kazaa Lite. I'm just borrowing it though, I'll delete it one day, and by not buying the CD I saved a plastic tree, you have to think about the enviroment too
