How do you guys get over the "I don't fell like going to the gym today" kind of attitude? My new job has not been very kind to my work out schedule. I work overseas for a month and then I am home for a month. At home, I have no problem going to the gym. It's nice there with good equipment, etc. While I'm at work, we have gym facilities but, the equipment kinda sucks and I lose all desire to even work out! I know that a lot of it is all in my head but, even still, I am having a real hard time over-coming it. Besides having everyone on this board come over and kick me in the a** to make me go to the gym, are their any other morale boosters that you know of? Maybe some brain-washing, reading material? The brain-washing part is what I really need! Mine is dirty.

Just think about how long it's going to take you to get back to where you were when you last went. For some unknown reason, I stopped working out in early December. I'd just set a whole slew of fresh PRs and still had another month of cycle to go and just stopped lifting for six weeks.

Throw in a PCT on top of that and I'm still not back to where I was at the beginning of December. 4 months of training wasted and maybe another one still to come before I'm hitting those numbers again.

Just try to get yourself in the gym and do a light, brisk workout. You'll feel better for it and it should fire you up to return there again. I sometimes feel that I don't want to go work out because I just don't have the will to strain.

I train with a crew of people, not showing up is not an option. Plus dont really want to let anyone down.

I completely change my routine when that happens. Works for me. You might want to consider circuit training or crossfit for a while. Maybe go get the crossfit routine of the day from the Crossfit.com site and do that.

i got that feeling in september and i just hit the gym for the first time last night. I moved and started bjj and forgot about my lifts. The pain i feel now show be enough for me not to stop again. think of how sore you were when you first started lifting. you also feel like a fool when you cant put up what you did before.
