that is a song.. oldies disco
YouTube - Gibson Brothers - Cuba 1978 - dam I was only 6 at that time. I have to say lifting has been great. I feel the strength has come back quickly. I have been eating pretty clean but having a treat from time to time. My next show goal isn't till May 2009, so there is plenty of time. I have days that I usually train alone because work has me here later due to summer schedule, but I get to leave @ 1 on Fridays, whoot! Anyhow, I am also experiencing alot of pain in my right trap/shoulder region. I have been getting treatment but it really only hurts when I go heavy on some lifts. Gonna have to ramp up the treatment ![]() I have a new picture that I want to post but its home, so will post it later. Its one of the ones I took that resembles my avy. Chest: Smith incline scraping the chin (almost) - no full extension here - I hate to see people lock on this: warmup bar alone 20x1 20x15x1 30x12x1 40x10x1 flat dbs - wide: 20x12x2 30x10x1 (pain started kicking in here) hammerstrength wide grip: 50x12x1 70x1x1 90x8x1 - someone had to assist pain at full level here, ugh! lever dips 75x12x1 100x10x1 125x8x1 pec deck - went light here: 30x10x1 40x8x2 Biceps: seated curls - db: 15x20x1 20x14x2 rope curls: 20x10x1 25x10x1 30x8x1 bb curls: 30x10x2 40x8x1 standing cable curls - life fitness unit, facing out 15x12x1 20x10x1 25x10x1 28 minutes of cardio. 2 minute warmup at 4.0, 5 incline for 2 minutes 4.2, then jumping around between 10 and 20 incline for most.. @ 10 incline speed was 4.0 at 20 about 3.5 had to go slower so I wouldn't fall off, lol... no hands. Cool down for about 2 minutes chatting with a friend. I was sweaty last night. ![]() Last edited by WonderWoman; 06-29-2008 at 04:37 PM. |

Shoulder / trap pain -- make sure you are doing some good shoulder warmups - if you are getting any PT on that they can show you how. Check w/a chiro to see if you are getting bones moved into the wrong place as a result - I have a right rotator problem that, when it flares, the rest of my right side back likes to engage to protect the rotator, and this ends up w/ my right scapula getting pushed straight out. My chiro has a new guy working w/ him and he noted that the scap sticking out is very common for rotator problems. Generally for soreness, 3 ibuprofens + 1 tylenol + coffee is a fantastic anti-inflammatory. Frequent ibuprofen use is not great for the lining of your stomach but if you need a good anti-inflam post workout, consider it. Just be careful of your shoulder - rotator problems never go away. They just flare or not.

Sass, the pain is explosive today. I had stopped seeing the chiro and went in for a adjustment and some therapy last week 2xs, gonna have to go see him tonight. I am gonna stop at the drugstore and get some goods for this. Gonna lay off the weights tonight and just do cardio/abs/stretching - TREATMENT. I may need a mojito tonight.. ![]() |

how is the shoulder today? Are you talking the shoulder it's self or more the back of the shoulder/shoulder blade area? I know I had some major problems with that a few months back. I kept working through it and ended up with a slight tear in the muscle..the most intense pain I have EVER felt
but sounds like you are doing the right thing laying off training and getting treatment.Hope it sorts out quick for you ![]()
