you will pay more to get it legal.legal shit is expensive which is why it is smart to try and get your ins to pay for it. most people have a small copay for generic drugs but dont realize they have a separate deductible for brand name drugs.even if the ded is 2k, that is 2 months worth of gh at 1200 a kit, then the rest of the year you would get if for 35-50 copay. thats according to most ins companies out there. i am trying to go down this road myself! good luck to your buddy......he is 24 and getting all this stuff?! man what is the name of his doc?!

10 ml vial of 200mg/ml Test Cyp legal with prescription for me was $135. I only had to make $20 copay.

Worse was the price of syringes and needles. The pharmacy would hand count out no more than 14 of them (by law no more than a 3 month supply for once a week injections). Then they'd charge $2 apiece. I had to make $20 copay and insurance chipped in a whopping $8.

They didn't look at me strangely when I said I'd like to get the prescription for the vial refilled but never mind the syringes.

One the better known HRT clinics down here is about $350/month for 200mg/wk of test and 2iu/day of GH.
I used to put everything through insurance about 8 years ago. But it was a mistake since now more premium per month. It would be even higher if the insurance was in my name and I hadn't moved to a new state. Somehow I got a new MIB or it fell off because it's been so long.

I thought u had to be 30 to even be considered for HRT?

How do you approach an MD about something like that when you're that young. I'm 27 and I was told i should be 30-35 or so before I see decreases in my test levels and that my symptoms might just be due to depression or something. I need to talk to your bro's dr. haha.

Ulter, will they work with anyone under 30?

Anyhow, my insurance has a lifetime limit, and for small things I try to pay outta my pocket just in case (knock on wood) I get into some catastrophic accident or I get cancer or if I somehow get unemployed later on when something bad happens.

On the topic of healthcare and insurance, anyone know anything about healthcare savings plans? haha, I'm thinkin of switching.

I usually pay $0 for generic Test and $0 for generic HCG. Often, Walgreens does not have generic and most than often, they can't get HCG at all. When I do get it at Walgreens, it is a brand name and therefore $40. If I go mail order through Medco, it is $0, but then again, they can't get me HCG right now either.

Medco will throw in supplies. I think Walgreens may sometimes. If not, the needle/syringe combo is only about $.20 a piece.

The testosterone from Walgreens has a very thick septum and I need to swap needles between filling and injecting. The septum is that thick that it dulls the needle.

It does more than merely make one feel young. I was recently chatting with someone about something that had happened in my mid-40s. He looked at me and said, "You sound as though this was ages ago but you don't look as though you've yet reached your mid-40s".
