i'm sure it's here but i dont have time to look for it before i go to bed.

i oredered a 240 count of gluco for myself and my wife.

is she to take 1 before snacks such as grapes, weight watchers chocolate bar, etc.. basically anything with carbs in it aside from the obvious, rice, oatmeal, bread etc..

thanks for the quick replies and sorry for being lazy. i just want this to work out for her and and I without wasting too may of them.

really depends on insulin sensitivity issues. If blood sugar control is poor then before any food with carbs. Otherwise usually reccomend min 20g of carbs necessitating use.

so a typical day's meal plan looks like this for her

meal 1; banana and 2 eggs

meal 2; grapes

meal 3; 3 oz. turkey with .5 cup brown rice, or lean turkey on ww bread, or lean cuisine

meal 4; cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, with ranch dipping sauce

meal 5; dinner, lean meat with fresh veggies(we don't eat carbs for dinner)

meal 6; weight watchers chocolate bar before bed, i know, i'm trying to break her of this but she's always had the sweet tooth.

i know meal 3 will definitley need 1-2 glucos, just wondering about the grapes, canteloupe, weight watchers bars etc... i guess we'll try it w/o 1st, then adjust as needed.

I would take one with the banana and one with weight watchers bar. On meal 2, it would depend on how many grapes.

i basically told her to take 1 with the banana, 1 with the grapes and canteloupe if all eaten at the sametime and 1 with turkey and rice.

then of course she'll eat 1 with the weight watchers bar.

was wondering what others were doing in this situation,

it's sunday, our cheat day, usually have a pretty good cheat meal followed up with ice cream or some dessert about 30-45 mins later.

we have 3 gluc before meal, do we then need to eat 3 more b4 the dessert??

how long after eating the glucs does the effects last or work??

No, three prior to the meal is plenty to include dessert. It'll last 4 hours.

sweet, that helps me save them for later then.

4 hours, so if I'm eating every 2-3 hours and having 3 oz. turkey with .5 cup brown rice, will 1 pill get me thru 2 meals if I'm eating them within the 4 hour window??

so I could really eat like this:

2 glucos 80 gram oats and protien shake

2-3 hours later no gluco and 3 oz. turkey/chicken and .5 cup brown rice

2-3 hours later 1 gluco and same as above

2-3 hours later no gluco and same as above

sorry if I'm splitting hairs here really. but if I can get away with skipping a dose in between meals, that would help with the $$'s for more next time around.

It's a common question. Yes it can last through two meal times when you're eating that.
