I pinched something in my neck a few years back doing handstands. It feels like the scapular attachment point of the levator, or the upper portion of the rhomboid insertion and attachment. Left side.

I aggravated it again doing light power cleans the other day. Now I am doing my best to stretch, ice, ibuprofen, and keep it calm. Sucker hurts so bad that it woke me up last night.

Anything else I can do? Last time I had it massaged I just about threw up when she leaned into the knot, she backed off because my skin actually changed temperature when it happened. This is getting frustrating, I want to work out but as soon as I start having a little fun it seems to flair back up. I did manage some light OHP and Pullups today, but hardly what I would call a good workout. Better than none I reckon.

I take the lack of response to mean that there isn't much more I can do. I suppose acupuncture is another remedy I haven't considered, but I live in a fairly small town where I don't trust there to be many good ones to choose from.

Staying away from the computer does help I have found, but it is my work.

You are right on targer my man.

Yup - hitting the spasms with to much pressure can cause reaction such as you described.

Will just take time.

Lol....I was waiting for this. Actually I thought about it as I was reading back through my last leg workout and I mentioned having a tweak in my thigh. There just is no other word to use!

No, no...your name fits you perfectly. I'm not sure why, but it reminds me of a cute, little, spunky mouse. Like a girl Reepacheap from Narnia.
