About 5 weeks ago I got some virus. 103 degree temp, anorexic for days. Could only eat a few hundred calories and lay around. Then it goes to my lungs and I am coughing up loads of dark sticky green crap, fever is intermittent - peaking at 101 for a couple of more weeks.

A week or two before it hit I did 72 free weight dips, and 10 dips with 135 chained on. I go in the weekend before I got really sick, could not do one dip to parallel and went home. While sick my legs got much weaker, any chest presses were pretty much impossible. My military presses/shoulder presses were about as good, and my deads were pretty good although I was so short of breath on deads I thought I might seriously have a heart attack.

Today I got 12 dips with 90 LBS harnessed on. I could only do one work set. That was it.

Man, some little germ that I cannot even see with the naked eye robs me of strength. Its amazing.

You'll be back. Sorry to hear it got you though. I had mine two weeks ago and couldn't walk across the room without resting, I feel ya.

I was just bragging about not being sick, not even a cold for over two years. Right about the time I decided to stay on, and I think that has had a lot to do with it. Anyway, I woke up sick as a dog saturday, laid in bed all day yesterday coughing up goobers the size of small planets. Today my nose is running like water faucet and.... damnit there goes my Cal Ripken streak ... I missed a softball tourney and that has not happened in about 19 years. To add to my pouting rant, I've lost 9 lbs! I have to eat like crazy to stay at 245 and boom ... 236. The optimistic wags would like to think that bodyfat was what I lost but I feel weak and pussified. I'm done whining, after two years I probably deserve to be sicker... maybe a little diarrhea just for shits and giggles.

Man losing weight sucks. It is so hard for me to gain lean weight, I went from 212 to 204 in a few weeks. I still cannot eat the same high protein diet - for a long time I would have 3 to 4 eggs for breakfast with some protein powder. Now 2 eggs is hard to choke down.
