Meh, here's where I've been and what progress I've made. I never thought I'd be posting these anywhere, so I just picked a pose that would be consistent and good for judging progress (i.e., not a flexed pose, since I don't really know how to pose). I included pics from throughout my lengthy bulk so you can see the good (or at least the not-quite-as-bad) and the bad. (Also, I got a new camera with a much better flash in Nov. 2007; the last two pics were taken with it.) I started lifting the week the first picture was taken, and my training, as some of you might expect, is built around progressive training of the basic barbell lifts.

So anyway, go ahead and deluge me with "good base, bro", "you look so different", "you're getting there" and miscellaneous other board euphemisms for "whew, I'm glad I don't look like you."

You guys have no idea how long I've been trying to convince him to post this.... what an incredible transformation. Honestly, amazing. Skinny guys everywhere have no excuses.

Dude, you put 80lbs on which is roughly 60% of your original body weight! Thats a crazy gain and obviously took a lot of work! Seriously good job man!

great transformation especially from the 223 to the 198. Honestly in the first coulpe pics I just thought you were getting fatter but nice job putting on some size and chisseling it up, Very nice job! Hit that chest with some heavy incline DB's and work on your traps to really make your physique "pop". And get a tan. lol

OMG ROTFLMAO...... That has to be one of the funnier things that I have read recently...

That is great progress. As I was scrolling through you were looking a bit bulked up but that last shot summed it up. when you go from first to last there is a dramatic change! Good job.

Well, you don't have to be arrogant now, lol!

This is an awesome post. I love getting jacked "before and after" posts, we need more of them. That is an incredible amount of muscle you gained in a short amount of time.

Also, you posted for a greater cause- the good of humanity! If just one 150lb kid reads this thread and sees that squats, deadlifts, and heavy presses are about as complicated as it gets to throw on 60lbs of muscle in a couple years, then you did a good thing.

nice work CS! Had you lifted or 'worked out' prior to 2005?

And i'm not sure if I should be worried that I own the same boxers as you. Those 3 packs are very appealing compared to the single pack sparkle ones.

Dude... I'm so bummed. I thought that was you in your avatar and I was happy that someone on here looked like a younger me. Great work... I was 6-1 and 140 lbs at age 19. It took me 33 years but I put on 100 lbs of muscle...well maybe not all muscle, back hair has to weigh something.

Thanks, all.

JayC, regarding cycles, none. I was considering including this in the first post, so here goes: I had low test until Nov. 2006, at which point I went on HRT (transdermals), but that's never been at doses that get me outside the normal range.

Sarge, I ran and did push-ups (lol) for about a year before I started lifting weights. I also started tracking my food intake during that time.

Anyway, despite the fact that (as noted in the original post) I can't pose, I decided to mess around with the camera after I woke up since today was an off day. (Yes, I need to clean my mirror...and as has already been pointed out, I rival Scarlett for Palest Skin on AF, lol.) Current weight is 212 lbs., and I'm 6 feet tall as always.

Your last set of pics shows way more (too much for me!) but your quads look great & your overall growth proportional.

Keep at it bro! How old?

BiggT
05-16-2008, 11:59 AM
Your quads are off the wall. I presume it's from all the leg extensions tri-setted with machine hack squats and Swiss Ball lunges.

How old?Damn, keep forgetting to mention this. I'm 23.

Your quads are off the wall. I presume it's from all the leg extensions tri-setted with machine hack squats and Swiss Ball lunges. That's my usual leg routine, but sometimes as I'm about to hit the machine hacks I'll blindfold myself and do a commando roll over to the leg press to surprise the muscles.

(And for anyone wondering what's up with the second and fourth pics in my last post, they're parodies of "progress pics" posted by Scarlett and Sarge, respectively.)

Sometimes I tell myself I am doing back and then I go in and do legs to confuse the muscle, then I will blinfold myself and do a drop set. That is the best way to shock them. You get confusion and shock in one day of training.
