adderall and appetite.

all my posts have been on adderall ....

anyhow, i'm wondering how you guys/gals on it work around the appetite suppression sides to the med.

previously i hadn't had any problems with my appetite, but my doctor recently increased my dosage as i've been crashing too early on it and am definitely feelin it. i still get hungry every few hours but i get satiated super quickly and never finish any of my meals.

i've been supplementing my meals with more protein shakes but i get the protein poops now... and so, now i gotta be very aware of where the toilets are.

I have a prescription and the best way to avoid the appetite suppression is not to take it. Ha ha...

I don't take it like I should, but when I did it killed my appetite. There is a drug called periactin that boosts your appetite if you can find it. I used to take it, but now that I'm getting older I dont' need it.

I also found that gradually increasing your dosage and just force feeding yourself will lead to you eventually getting used to it.

It will always inhibit your appetite to some degree though, that's why a lot of people love it.

I just love to eat more.

yeah, i've been trying to force feed myself. i mean, i get satiated quicker but i know in my head that i'm not eating any more than before...

unfortunately i can't not take the meds otherwise i'll be an antisocial hermit that'll stay at home all day playing videogames and not getting any of my schoolwork or studying done.

i'll look into the periactin thing but it seems like the best advice is to just get used to it.
