The good thing is that I dont hurt myself bad anymore...just constantly tweak things...hmmm

The pain is right where the chest ties into the shoulder. The most pain can be found when feeling closer to the arm pit/chest part...its right where it connects.

Bottom line is if I do alot of stretching and rest between sets I have less issues; if I keep reps low I have less issues; If I dont go lower than 3" above chest, less issues; and if I dont go wide grip less issues! Wow that is alot of issues!

-It doesnt seem to affect strength (atleast noticably, there is not a quick lost of strength during press...just pain)
-it mainly just affects flat bench. OH doesnt get affected at all!
-Even push ups hurt considerably after about 15 (found that out during the pt test, but still easily pushed through 45 in about 25 seconds, then stopped becuase I wanted to, not becuase of pain or nothing)
-getting into pull up position hurts as well (the stretching to hold bar) but only on wide grip...the wider the more pain!

There is no bruising, no swelling, no visible signs. And the pain is only there when I flat press and for a lil while after...doesnt hurt at any other time!

HELP!!!! I want to make sure I dont have a partial tear or anything that can be worst with lighter lifting! I have no problem stepping back from intense chest training (dont really care much about it anyways)!

I have a few more weeks here in Afghanistan, and the one PA here told me he had no clue what was wrong when I told him the issues! I am so glad he is here to help :pfft:

Thanks in advance

sounds like the pec minor.

try this: Doorway Chest Stretch (http://www.exrx.net/Stretches/ChestGeneral/Doorway.html)

keep pressure on it like you're stepping through the door way to stretch it well.

That's right, that's where your proximal bicep tendon is attached to the bone. You might want take easy on that bicep for a while. That particular tendon has nothing to do with functional strength. You don't even need it. But it holds your bicep down on the top side so it doesn't slide up your arm and look funny.

slide up arm??? is that whar arnold did to make his bicept look like a cone head was bursting out of his arm??? LMAO

Thanks guys for the awesome advice! Its funny becuase at first I thought it was my bicept tie in, but I never lift bi's hard at all, and dont really feel much issue there. the weird thing though is I have this crazy hard bulging "vein" closer to the inside of my elbow on that same arm. the medic guy just said it was the vein...but it started protruding the exact same time...I thought its a better chance of a tendont or something...

but I dont know shit about that.

I will definatly take it super easy on bi's, and just take a bit of a break on flat pressing...no biggie, I dont care for either of those to much anyways :D

Thanks again guys! awesome help!

See I didn't go there. I was going to but I decided against it. It was hard because I thought it was going to be a post about YOUR chest too.

I'm not so rude that I'd start incubating in your body like an Alien. Don't worry, bro. :whistler:
