No you want to reglycogenate the muscles not the liver. Don't use fructose.

yes fructose is fruit sugar.

dextrose can be bought online or at health food stores you find it. I'd recommend the waxy maize though over the dextrose, but either will get the job done.....just ones a little faster then the other.

Just go to google and find out the hundreds of online supplement stores who carry it. Waxy Maize is pretty resonably priced.

A little fructose is beneficial post-workout. Alan Aragon has explained this to some degree.

That being stated, dextrose and Waxy are both excellent choices if you are looking for the standard (not always needed of course) quick absorbing carbs that impact insulin to a higher degree.

Waxy is more quickly absorbed and will have less of an effect on stomach distention/bloating like dextrose 'can' have for some users. However, if you have no problems ingesting dextrose, then no need to go out and change. I like WM more than dextrose, but it mixes worth shit.

Also, if you have prior bolus amounts of food still in the GI tract/gut post-workout (from foods you've eaten prior to your workout), it will change the WM osmalality to some degree, thus it's benefits of drawing less water in the gut will be limited and possibly blunted. I could go into more detail on this, but maybe it would be easier for me to just post up a link since i may be limited on time:)

I wouldn't.

I'd either use WM or something like powdered gatorade immediately pre.

milk? why bro?Well, I think that milk holds a good combination of sugars and I'm ready for food after a workout rather than just hitting up sugars. A protein powder with milk combo hits the spot and sees me through to getting a meal in.

Read my nutrition EDU, there's a part on fructose.
It should answer a lot of your questions too.
