It was a good day at the gym!
I suffered on "The Summit" by Lifefitness for 27 minutes :wiggle: But I said I'd get off at 300 cals...Ufff It was tough!:lock:
I worked shoulders,
Lateral raise on machine 5 X 8 30lbs.
Shoulder Press 5 X 8 20 Lbs.
Row 5 X 8 20lbs.
Front/Lateral rase combined 5 X 8 8lbs DB.
Abs and YES I know Sissy weight...:weightlifter:
BUT I am on low carb diet...so only in the AM do I eat oatmeal 1/2 C...like it's alot!!!
Noon VPX zero carb shake with frozen strawberries, lunch 4.5 oz mahi mahi and 2 cups oriental mis veggies from Costco!!!
Please please I beg everyone to go buy both items!!!
They are great!!!
Now I am aiming for 600 cals on my CycleOps (yeah mine, it's M's) roller.
So my Beau T Moble and I are gonna sweat!!!

I went on a bike ride today...No water no money...THAT is insane...
It all began with me on the roller, I wanted to use my brand new helmet, so i decided to go on a little neighborhood stroll ...
Yeah right I ended up doing 47 kms...
LOL:biggthumpup:I went to root for a girlfriend who was doing a triathlon....so I thought I'd surprise her at the transition area...
I made it there early...So came back home good news/I burned almost 1000 cals...

Today was good! A mix but good!
Trained calves first thing, No shoes ballet style raises 200!!!

4 X 15 on Hack machine (the one that resembles a mini inverted leg press, Oh amn thses descriptions are gonna cost me) w/ 70lbs.
4 X 15 on Leg Press Slide 110 lbs.
Legs..
Leg Press 4 X 10 110 lbs. OUCH Wide stance
Leg Curl (baby weight) 4 X 10 50 lbs.
Adductors 4 X 10 130lbs. -These I like, kind of like 007 movie where She squeezes the HELL out of Bond-

Well....I tried and succeded with something new.
I went to velodrome with Paulina, She took pictures whie I was being brave.
As you may know "Banking in the turns, superelevation, allows riders to keep their bikes relatively perpendicular to the surface while riding at speed. When travelling through the turns at racing speed, which may exceed 60 kmh (about 37 mph), the banking attempts to match the natural lean of a bicycle moving through that curve. Therefore, the centripetal acceleration of the combined inertia of bicycle and rider moving in the curved path balances the tangential acceleration pulling them outwards. There is no "centrifugal force" pulling the bicycle outward, only the centripetal acceleration and the normal force acting on the tires through the riding surface."
So It was fun!!! I am so proud of myself because last time I went I did the flat lower lane..
I am ready to begin a new stage in my life.
I have no idea how I am going to combine weights, golf, cycling, and cooking!!!
That small thing is me, HAD to take it this far away so you could appreciate the curb and elevation!

Jogged 5 kms. It was good.
It had been a long time since I had actually jogged in the mini woods.

Well let me tell ya, I did a "random" workout this morning on the treadmill,
35 minutes level 5, started at 6km/h and finished with 9km/h...not bad because i was good with breath...leg weights afterwards and streching..according to Polar HRM 757 burned...Now I must get in the pool soon

I have been so good scale is down to 58kg which for me is over 5kg.
I can begin to see some cuts in calves, and my watch is loose now..makes me laugh that stupid fat disappears first from where I could not even care it would stay...and takes FOREVER to go away where I wwish it would never ever be!!!

never discard the standard weight baring exercises..pushups are DAM hard when done right..so 'better than nothing' doesn't even come into it girl :wiggle: just keep hitting the legs with the bike and pushups for the upper body..it's all good :biggthumpup:

Nah it just means i switched up goals in life. Stopped the cut/bulk cycle years ago and started to bulk and am still bulking. Luckily i also found a sweetheart who doesnt mind me being a mammoth. Definitely helps to have yr signif. other truly support yr goals.

I made the 70km climb...all alone...LOL
The "ironman" group couldn't keep my pace..
Na...just joking.
They rode out of the city 70kms...I was in car with driver...I got off the car and began riding at the 100kms mark..100 to go...so I rode 70 uphill...dang double dang and dang again...
It was good and then OUCH my lower back hurt...I was a sissy besides other things, and said it was enough...You'd understand if you saw the mtn.
Anyhow my climb was 605 meters or 1985 feet for your US measures.
When I got in the car I got mad, because I was not tired...
It was just sore from position...I SHOULD HAVE taken a 3 minute rest and then ride again,...BUT I didn't!
So I learned that it takes a while to master the sport!
Diet has been clean! YAY!!!

Flor, do you have anything you can recommend for me to do to get over being freaked out on my bike?
Do you had any advice for me in general on it? I feel like I'm going to die when I take it out. It feel so wobbly and awkward.
T Cake suggested I take spinning classes so I at least get USED to having my cleats attached to the pedals. Beyond that, do you have anything for me? I wish you could go riding with me so I didn't feel like I was useless and like my life was in jeopardy.

Perhaps this ratio accompanied with the carb rotation will spark what you need it to, Sassy is a big advocate of that to get things firing along.
I would try to keep cals at 12x bw on your high carbs days. And dont weigh yourself every day. ONCE a week, MAYBE 2 x at most. 10 x bw would be your recommended minimum on low carb days.
If you are as active as I remember I think minimal calories will end up munching on your muscle vs burning fat. This has been shown when a woman's upper body is rail thin and bottom half more curvy IMO, esp with active women that train. ALL too common. You got very thin at one point and I think it was b/c of the minimal food... thin in not a good way, remember?
Using Xtend has greatly helped during my workouts. You may want to add this in if you can. I know several others that use it with great success.
Also if you are natural NO CARB is not a great idea in my opinion. Do not be afraid of the refeeds your muscles will welcome it.

1 can tuna packed in water with chopped cucumber tomato and jalapeno
4 oz broiled fish (white bassa)
VPX zero carb 1 C frozen strawberries before park walk
4 oz broiled fish (white bassa)
4 oz broiled fish (white bassa)
It adds up to 1056 cals.
Fat: 23 207 20%
Carbs: 53 172 17%
Protein: 164 657 63%
A little high on the protein BUT It was that last fish or I'd stay at 906 cals

I can vouch for the Xtend working really well. My bf uses it too now when we do the evil bike rides and it really makes life easier.
Oh my gosh how are you not gnawing on your arms on just over 1000 cals? I'd fear for the safety of my dog if I dropped them that low.

I have my bike set up in my living room one one of those stationary stand things (but not like yours-- the back tire is off the ground. My gears have been shifting funny and I sat and tinkered with it for a half an hour and fixed it all by myself! :D
Also I noticed something-- my seat was pointed about an inch and a half to the left. Not centered. No wonder I felt so awkward and unbalanced on my bike before!!!

Golf has been good, diet and gym also.
I had been training one body part a day to wring it out, then golf came back with a passion...so I was juggling golf, early cardio, and weights 3 times a week...doing splits upper body & lower body....you get the scene...I hope...LOL....and that makes FLOR Tired!!! So as of tomorrow I am going back to one body part a day, 45 min. cardio, on golf days HIIT, or steady cardio on non golf days...I hope it works...
Basically I am eating
1/2 C 3 minutes oats raw, with water, and 7 walnut halves.
4 egg white omelette with 1 slice american cheese
VPX zero carb with frozen strawberries
4.5 oz. chicken or fish
1.5 green veggies
VPX or zone perfect bar
4 egg whites with 1 slice cheese.

Oh Yes they are good! Today I feel like I was run over by the train, I was able to get off the rails and got hit by a truck going east, was thrown into the westbound lane a low rider had a speed bump (me)...LOL
I am HOPING to get out and at least have a recreational ride...
If I don't I will go for steady cardio @ park and then get on the Cyclops Roller here at home.
I added psyllium to my VPX yesterday and It made opposite reaction...constipation big time!!! :confused:

I play off 13 - have done for two/three years - basically had my swing worked a year and half ago and started to get shanks (well it more of a open face cut). I am not shooting as low as I was before Ihad lessons but my swing looks better :coolugh: I think this summer I will get down to singles figure!! Thats my aim!!

Cooked Grilled salmon, with a maille mustard sauce, roasted some sesame seeds, (hope its good) steamed esparragus in a skillet hope they grill a bit and sprinkled them with reggiano, and ufff mini ricotta filled raviolies...of course all I am eating si the salmon....oh I forgot the apple pie...Boooo...sound like early thanksgivin...

My morning cardio was tough for me!!!
Burned 500 cals in 50 minutes...basically did power walk uphill and 5 sets of lunges on basketball court, basket to basket = 1, the 5 sets of side to side ( pretending i was sticking foot on tire) Like football training...whatever they are called I have so sugar in my brain...low carb and only eating oatmeal in morning preworkout...one apple with chili powder at noon....(damn good) afternoon veggies..

Once I was able to balance about 10 days...I don't know if you know when you hear the clank clank, I am changing gears, -down shifting- so I can work power and that way get some HIIT...I don't miss a workout and I am home...:o

Leaving to Ironman USA and will do cardio or whatever I can get it... Crowne Plaza should have a gym. i hope food is not an issue.

I am back!!! and with lots of pictures and junk in the trunk!!!!
I was out 13 days and hey no workouts in!!!
So you an imagine me now!!!:lock:
Post ironman Lake Placid and recovery sex (thank God for that one) we went to Montreal (afternoon) and Quebec (2 nights), Portland Maine (2 nights), NYC(3 nights)...almost no sleep, plenty of drinks, walked like we were in the dark ages and had no car...LOL ...so now after I feel like and 18 wheeler hit me, ran over me and finished me off in reverse, I am trying to think of how start again...
Workout like a beginner? I need to be in top shop by September 18...CanCun!!!
Will post pictures later on today!!!

Since you took off longer than 10 days, I'd ease back into some cardio in the next few days -- and think about throwing some weights in (if you like) around Saturday or Sunday. Your body may have some initial shock and soreness in the beginning, but I think you'll be surprised how conditioned you are -- so it's best to see how you feel as you go and play it by ear. :)

Alright no bread and no sugar -- I get it -- I just hope there's some carbs somewhere in there to keep your energy up. 'Course if you've been on the low-carb kick for 3 days or less, hopefully tomorrow will be better as your body continues to adjust to it. :wiggle:
