My goals are to gain muscle for sure....i always feel too scrawny. I like bing lean, but i dont have enough mass

Thats what I like to hear. Just train/EAT your way to where you wanna be. You have a good base so that simplifies everything.

Yep I know. I have aon online personal trainer now, and he is great. I just need to make sure I stick to the diet given to me :rofl:

Thanks everyone...OK when you all do pull ups, on the way down do you leg your arms extend totally, so you lats are in a stretched position, before pulling up again?

Thanks everyone...OK when you all do pull ups, on the way down do you leg your arms extend totally, so you lats are in a stretched position, before pulling up again?

I keep my feet criss cross and I don't stretch all the way straight down.. but somewhat, then explode. I hold it on the way down. :heart:

I am curious though.. how does one choose someone online to know they are reputable? Won't you come to a point where you want someone to work with you on your weaknesses in your training especially. The diet, well anyone can pretty much lay that out on paper, the net, etc.. alot of people on here have good knowledge of that as well. Don't get me wrong Mols.. I am not picking on the idea, just wondering. I guess it would sorta apply to someone referring you to someone but that person would eventually be there to push and pull with you. Where do you live woman?

I am just trying to get your view on it..

no kidding!! I cant lift S*it! I live in MN. Yea i see what your saying, but ive enjoyed having it layed out for me lol. I suppose soon I will stop with him and just lay out my own diet/programs....

That was my initial mindset as well. However, I think it depends on your personality and how much you feel you "need" to have someone with you. I worked with a trainer before and I hated it. Not because the workouts sucked but because I prefer to workout alone. I've gotten the best help over the years from friends online.

Do just that Mols....you see guys and gals do half pull ups . I may not be able to rep out alot but my 5 sets of 10 are strict......full hang and pull up chin over bar. Keep the lower part of your body relaxed and try to keep from swaying as to not use momentum to assist in pulling up!*******This was obviously b4 my shoulder surgery But in time I will be right back at it!

Just stick with it.....What you can do is to do as many pullups as you can with your bodyweight and then jump on the assisted pullup machine (if your gym has one) or have someone spot you to knock out a few more. Eventually you will be doing the 5+ again!

exactly, when i started i couldn't do 1 pullup, so i did negatives, how boring and embarassing it was at the time when my two training partners (on juice and didn't tell me) were like wow, i can't believe you cannot even do 1. fuckers. anyhow, i've hit 17 in a row before and now i usually do 3 sets wide, 3 sets chins and get over 12 for all. negatives are the way to go.

kinda maintaining at the moment, but not for long. I wanted a lil break from bulking.....but ill be back on the bandwagon soon enough! I dont have a log....

Im not quite sure you want to go that route Mols... these hands have been known to melt many-a-woman when laid upon them. However I definitely have no problems working your body over, and I have nothing against rubbing feet for the record either, incase you would care for a little bit of that as well.

edit: the morning and night thing happens to us all... ESPECIALLY when eating more to try to gain some musckles

true, its a battle for me! I wanna gain size overall yes, but I wanna keep my abs :wallbash: I know, impossible. But ive been using YES before each workout, guess I should stop for now? Its a :hammersmash: between me and myself

Save the YES for cutting. Eat up and lift heavy, you could look totally different in a few months time if you committed yourself to it.

ABs are made in the kitchen in the end, not in a bottle or in doing a gazillion crunches. You need to sacrifice one for the other and to be honest not having Abs versus having nice lean muscular and cut shoulders/arms, back and legs I would give up and am giving up Abs for now. You are lean already and if you eat enough and keep it clean you can avoid adding much fat on your body
