I strained my hamstring when I was 16 in high school, and had to basically relearn to run. I'm now 22, and my right hamstring is still weaker than my left. I never went on a real rehab program, just trained on sprinting and running for track and wrestling. I'm wondering if anyone on here has any advice on some rehab work I can do for my hamstring.

what type of exercises do you do for hamstrings now? I would start by training each hamstring seperately. If you do reverse curls, train one side at a time and chose a weight that you can get the same number of reps with both hamstrings. It might be a little easier for the stronger side for a while but the weaker side will catch up. If you are not familiar with glute-hamsrting raises I would find out how to do them. There are glute-ham raise machines or you can devise a homemade version.

C.G. is the one who showed me how to do glute-ham raises and they do wonders for hamstring development.

As lunchbox said, a lot of unilateral training is the answer.

One leg curls (many diff positions)
One leg glute ham raise
One leg back extensions
One leg deadlifts
One leg stiff deadlifts
One leg squats
lunges (walking, on box)

Obviously start with the weaker leg and match the strong one to it, or even a couple reps less. Also, pay attention to overall leg flexibility.
