Just wondered if anyone was going to be at the ACSM expo in April in Reno?

It is April 9 - 12. The preconference starts on the 12th. It is at the Hilton in Reno. Prices are (thru 3/21) for members $330, new members (sign up and register)$420, non members $475, student members $170, new student members $220, and student non member $190. Room is like $95 a night.
I went 2 years ago when it was in Vegas. It wasn't bad. Wish it was in Vegas again though. Reno just seems like a poor man's Vegas.

Thank you.....Probably not. I am attending Mel Siff's Super Camp in May and I don't think my wife would go for both. Thanks for the info and if you know of any more seminars going around the country, if you will, keep me informed. Thanks Killer.

Will do http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
My company will pay for me to go to one seminar a year, but it has to have a lot of managmenet and financial/business seminars at it, rather than training and nutrition http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
I went to the NSCA National Conference in Vegas last year. It was good.

That's pretty odd. I thought health clubs would pay for the seminar even though you are in a management position, because you can still educate the other staff on new research and training techniques. Any way I tried your protein pudding formula. It's the bomb. A.D made it for me. It was the protein powder mixed with a little bit of natural quaker oatmeal, water, polydextrose, and a teaspoon of peanut butter. Good stuff.
Where did you get the Polydextrose?

The reason they want me to attend management seminars is that they (my manager) feel that my knowledge in the fitness arena is more than adequate for the trainers and clients, so they want me to expand on business knowledge. Pretty much 98% of my job fuction is managment, with a couple basic fitness questions thrown in.
My pudding or "mix" receipe didn't contain any polydextrose, just 1/2 cup oats, 3 scoops chocolate protien, 1 tsp natural PB, and cinnamin. I am eating it right now http://anabolicfitness.infopop.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
But I do use a malto/dextrose mix postworkout. I get it from the www.proteinfactory.com (http://www.proteinfactory.com) 50% dextrose, 50% maltodextrin.

HEy Killer,
Thanks for the recipe. I was wondering if you happen to know if Diamond Nutrition's Chocolate whey protein is a good supplement. I know it tastes great (the owner of Max Muscle let me try it) with water. The best tasting protein powder I ever tasted. But I don't know if the quality is good or not. It's relatively inexpensive and costs 34 bucks for 5 pounds.
Thanks Mr. Cancun,

I cannot say for sure about that brand, but most companies will patent their own blend of proteins, which will mostly be comprised of whey protein concentrate, the cheapest whey. Some say they get gas and bloating from a lot WPC. But, I do not think that WPC is so inferior to ion exhcange and/or cross filtered whey that it is a big deal, especially when consuming 1.5 - 2 g per lb of BW. I say go with what you like, and if gas is a problem, add in some ginger, which you may be taking anyway.
Now, is the label correct, as does it contain as much prtoein in a serving as it states, who knows for sure, except if a lab test is performed.
