Well, Its been a great week for me. Messed up my shoulders on thursday, and on saturday I messed up my back.

I was doing 10 sets of 10 squats (which I wont be trying again). On my 9th set I went down kind fast and my back gave. I heard my spine crackle kinda like when your stretching. I could hardly stand. I tried stretching my hams, but It didnt help. I really hope this heals.

I've spent sat/sun/mon on NSAIDS and vioxx. I'm getting better slowly, although it still hurts to move; standing up, sitting down, walking etc. I kinda feel nauseous also, but I'm not sure if its related (I'll be referencing my A&P book in a minute to look for links between the nausea and a pinched nerve).

What I'm trying to ask is how long should I give it before I see a doc?

You don't get an award for bravery if you avoid going to the doctor. Go ASAP.
Also...I have one of those swiss ball thingies which I find helps my 2(!) herniated disks feel better when I use it to stretch.

I here ya. I've got an appointment next wednsday, If I'm better I'll cancel, otherwise I'll spend the day in a waiting room.

Thanks for the advice hooker. Sometimes it helps to here it from someone else even when its a kind of obvious answer.

Hook is right on. Go see a Doc whenever you here or feel noise, followed by pain.

Did you ice? You are probally out of the inflammatory phase by now, but if the area is still warm to the touch or you feel daily activites are irritating it, throw on some ice.

Man, you have had a tough week.

Let us know what the Doc has to say.

I've "blown" my back a couple times in a similar manner. It's an old injury that comes back occasionally. What scares the ever-living crap outta' me every time is that there's no warning signs, just BAM!! Haven't dropped the stack yet but it may just happen.

See the doc man... hate them folks sometimes, but sometimes you "gotta do what you gotta do".

Hope your feeling better soon!
