About 3 months ago I had a slipped disk at C7. I could do no upper body for at least two months while I was healing. I took 3 months just to be on the safe side. My left side (effected side) is now considerably weaker than the right. The doctor told me this is due to the fact that having the nerve pinched caused a dramatic amount of muscle loss and it was normal. Has this happened to any of you and what can I do to bring my left side up to speed?

Perform alot of dumbell movements, unilateral hammer strength, and unilateral leg movements. Stop when the weak side fails or form breaks down. Then perform an extra set on the weak side for every exercise. Stay away from barbell movements for now.
Killer is absolutely right. Stay away from bilateral movements as they would only serve to perpetuate your problem. Stick with unilateral movements. One of my good friends suffered the exact same thing. As a result his left arm also atrophied significantly. Do as killer instructed, and you'll be ok.

Also,
You may want to perform standing movements with a staggered stance. Put the foot opposite your weak side forward. Through nueral and conditioning pathways your weak side will contract a little more intense than the other side. However, once your weak side "catches up" to your dominant side, go back to a neutral stance or make sure you switch the forward foot every set.
