First want to say thanks to Ulter for asking me to mod this forum. I hope members find it useful.

I have been lifting for around 13 years and played football at the collegiate level. I have a BA and MA in Sports Medicine. I am certified by the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) as an athletic trainer. I have done some internships in PT clinics and one with a DI strength and conditioning program, worked as an assistant athletic trainer (which gave me the opportunity to work with one of the top ortho teams in the area), and ran the rehab center for an area colege bowl game. I have a long history of personal injuries (sucks) and 4 surgeries to draw exp from.

Like Twisted, I only give out advice, not an official medical diagnosis.

Hope I can be of help

It's great to have Twisted Steel on board. Now I won't be the only guy around here telling all the young hotdogs to keep it under the speed limit (heh heh. Feels like that sometimes, anyway.) I just hope he'll jump on threads on the main forum. There were quite a few there the past year or so - the "Anabolic Cascade" thread, the "Is Gear Addictive?" thread, and many others - on which I could have used the backing of a knowledgable and respected vet like Twisted Steel.

As for Killer ... If Ulter had asked me to name the one member of this board who should be asked to moderate a forum that focuses on rehab issues, I would have responded, without a moment's hesitation: "Killer." This is a very knowledgable and generous bro. The only thing that used to piss me off about him was how hard he was to get ahold of sometimes - his email addy was not in his profile, and if you were lucky enough to have it in your address book you were fortunate indeed. Now, we don't have to worry about that. He's moderating a forum. That's fantastic, and I wish him - as well as TS and GymRat - all possible success with it.

I've been anxious that this forum would not get the visitor traffic that the main forum gets, and so a lot of the good stuff these knowledgable guys will post might get wasted, so to speak. It looks, though, like the forum is taking off just fine. That, too, is great news, and I hope it will continue to prosper. That is, in part, a selfish wish. I'm usually nursing at least one - more often two or three - lifting-related injuries, so now I, too, have a place I can go to for great consults.

Be well, brothers. Journey safely.
