What are their work-out like. Is it tons of cardio and high light reps?
Big Daddy says I should give up the heavy lifting and go for a leaner more shredded look, but I want to still maintain a muscled look. I was just looking at the Fitness America competitors on that site and some of those chicks look really good. They are small but ripped and well muscled. |

Don't worry FC, I am not a women who does anything, but what I want.
I used to look more like that only not as muscled as these gals. I like the muscled, small, ripped look. My problem is, I also like to eat, so I have a hard time getting really lean, now. Maybe if I change my training style?????? |

...whats your "supplement" regimine look like....
That would be a key Q. even before we look at your training. You can acheive that look you want with hard training and diet naturally. When you combine gear with training it enhances everything-as you know-so you may end up with the effect you don't want if you are using. |

I use a maintainence dose of Deca at 1cc of 50mg every 7-10 days.
I just started Winny tabs at 10 mg a day and cleaned my diet up, big time. FC you where my inspiration, truly. I decided to set a goal and go for it. My question is.....If they just look skinny most of the time, how do they rip up and look so good at comp time? You look good all the time. |

.......---Its not that they get skinny-I worded that wrong---They really just smooth out in the off season---they don't have a ton of size to start off with, but when they rip up you see the muscle they do have---they just train & maintain. Maybe use small doses of anavar & some clen or T3 to cut up--- You can achieve that look naturally with hard work. I did before I decided to compete in BB'ing.
Glad to hear I inspire you! That, I think, is the ultimate compliment.....let me dig up some pix of me natural--what you are looking to be---maybe that will inspire you some more! |

Didn't really have a clue. Used to work my whole body everytime I worked out. Never did any cardio, just used to go danceing for hours on end.
No one ever told me what I should be doing, so I was fairly lean and small. I think I weighed about 107 here. Have no idea what my BF was. Didn't even know what that meant. I lived on Metabol shakes, CUTS, and fish. |

Cocktail, I would be anxious to see how your muscularity has progressed since that picture, especially considering your dosing schedule. I also think that the change in body type is more mental than physical at times. It is hard for a slimmer woman to get into the frame of mind she needs to be in when she starts packing on the size and visa versa it is hard for a muscular woman to give up her size and hard work she has put into gaining that muscle to become "smaller". Looking at that competitors pic, I don't see how I could ever go back to that size again, mentally. But as you said, you are your own woman and if Kim Chevesky (sp?) can do it, so can you!!!!

I think I have put on more fat than anything...
After this 8 weeks, and a bit of tanning, I'll post a pic. That one is about 10 years ago. I just posted it to give FC an idea of what my body type was like. I think you are absolutely right about the mental image. I want the size but still want to fit into my Size 3's! |

Size 3s?? I know how you feel, I always cringe when I go to buy jeans!! And to buy ones that fit in every area??? FORGET IT!!
But to answer your original question, I do believe the fitness pros workout just as hard as we do if not harder of course. I think it all depends on the "mix" and what they are taking/not to mention cardio differences. I mean who can build muscle with light weight and high reps?? Not me!! |

I just asked Katie Uter these questions you posted...lets see if I can remember everything she told me ---- she said she doesnt train w/wieghts much anymore...she maintains more w/plyometrics, gymnastics,etc...when she was weight training more she did use higher reps 12-15 w/moderate weight..she specified it wasnt "light weights" but heavy enough to make it challenging to get the last few reps out...
She also said she stays fairly lean (12%) year round and only diets the last 6 wks. before a competition..she eats clean MOST of the time (not a high protien diet either) equal protien and carbs, lots of fruit and steamed veggies...she doesnt do a cheat day, so to speak...If she really wants something sweet, then she eats it so she doesnt get really bad cravings.. She does cardio 4 days a week - always changing it up w/interval training...she said she never does the same thing I hope this answers some of your questions....I will say that she looks awesome...you can definately see the muscle, yet is still very lean and feminine looking.....she was beautiful!
