Default Back Extension and strange booty muscles!

I have moved up at the gym to doing back extensions using a 25lbs plate. Now short of posting a picture of my ass and mooning my board buddies I will try to describe what my husband is freaking out over. Ok I do not have a bubble butt(the kind that starts abruptly as soon as your lower back ends) I do have those 2 little dimples at the top of my butt.

OK in recent weeks a large ummm
LARGE 2 1/2 inch in width firm pad has appeared between these 2 dimples!heehee It really sticks out. It seems to coincide with the addition of the 25lbs plate in my lower back workout. It's very strange looking. Feels like a muscle to us but thought since I tend to ask off the wall questions at times what the hell just ask!

p.s.p.s. Thank you guys for your comments and support. I wuv you!!!! I would like to spend the next year working at 100% and no half ass months and would really like to try and maybe do some things like Bmom has got to do in commercial print and such. I hope it will be possible before I get too old! (by others standards of course!)

Thats muscle!!!Maybe they do things differently in the South, but in my part of the world thats considered NICE.

Women and men alike are supposed to have asses. Unless you get a shelf ass I wouldn't worry about it.
Bikini mom (and alot of women on here) would kill for a set of glutes that do that.

Default muscle at the top of the butt

Gluteus medius, abducts and medially rotates the thigh. Best example is Theresa Bostick; see photo from Bill Dobbins web site.

Oh there's no question we'll need a photo just so we can rule out any malignant growth or permanent damage to your lower back Hehehe. So get out that web cam and take aim.
