Default Moved Post help me out here

I am still confused on how to work my schedule out. I need the cardio in the a.m. so I go on an empty stomach but then I have to do my weight training and am just too pooped to pump.
I don't have time to go twice a day and I need at least 4 times a week cardio so I don't know when to do my lifting since I don't want to spend 7 days per wk in the gym. What do you think about cardio 4days/wk and out of those 4 days make myself do 2 days lifting, upper body 1 day lower the other day.

I have always NOT done cardio on the days I lift heavy. The cardio drains all the nutrients I need to lift later in the day. I only lift 3 days heavy and one for all those little things like forearms, calves etc. So I can do my cardio 3 or 4 days depending on my schedule. If you have to do it on days you lift then I suggest you do after you lift and blow off the morning, empty stomach routine. Wait I think I hear Lobo's footsteps about to pounce on this post.

I thought on the days I lift after doing my cardio drinking a carb drink to get me through the lifting even though my I guess my fat burning will be over at that point. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif[/img]

Okay I'm stubborn about giving up my lifting days!! Compromise Tnhey - do 3 of cardio and 3 lifting. Last summer I got myself leaner than I've ever been doing only 2 (yes 2) days of 45min each session cardio but my diet was really really clean and NO cheat days.

I've been doing 60min a/m cardio (3 days) and p/m lifting (4 days) for about 4 weeks now and I'm finding myself with not-so-good aches and pains so I'm going back to just cardio days and just lifting days. 2 days of 60m cardio sessions and 4 days of lifting.

While I know Lobo will argue about how many days I'm doing, I KNOW I can drop bf doing just that because I've done it! Diet (again) is key.

If you are determined to do more days of cardio alternate weeks...week 1-4 days cardio/2 days lift, week 2 - 2 days cardio/4 days lift. Just a suggestion!

also... I think we all get to anal about the whole issue of fat burning.
Sure, you drink a carb drink and your body will be turning to the carbs to burn instead of fat, but thats a compromise that I'd be willing to make. Even though youve switched energy sources, youll still get the benefits of an increased metabolism throughout the day from the AM cardio! So hell, its not the worst thing you could do...
