You have ever done to make a piece of clothing fit properly?

I will be the first to admit my shameful secret. I will buy a pair of shorts or pants and pull the front pockets out and cut them out of the pants for that extra 1/2 inch of room. Sounds crazy, I don't wear tight shorts but I am in between sizes and I hate to wear overly baggy shorts especially when I am still losing weight so that 1/2 inch of missing pocket space makes them fit perfect. Just have to remember not to put change in there. /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Being from the NY/NJ area all I wear is Sergio Tachini velour jogging suits (local favorite), they stretch so fitting in them is not a prob. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Jeans always seem a bit stiff and tight after washing, so when I first put them on, I'll do a few squats (varying my foot placement of course /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) to get 'em stretched and comfy.

I've also hemmed pants with duct tape.

A few weeks ago, I wore this skirt that I wanted shorter, so I hitched it up about to my arm pits and belted it so it would stay put. I had a jacket over it, so no one could see what I'd done.

LOL- FitFossil and I do the same things!!

I've used double sided sticky tape to make straps stay in place...

This doesn't really fall into this catagory but I used to microwave my undies if they weren't dry from the dryer and I was in a hurry. Worked great until I threw a pair of slinky/nylon/silky kind in there...I hear this loud *crack* from the kitchen...the damn things melted and broke the glass plate in there!! LMAO!! Lesson learned: only microwave the cotten gstrings.

IG - I am have THE most difficult time imagining you in velour anything. Much less a brand name anything. /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I'm totally into this pocket cutting program, chopped up a pair today - great idea Tn.
IG - velour jogging suits were in when I was in high school, you know you're old when a style comes around for the second time. I gotta agree, though - you just don't strike me as a fashion statement kind of guy! /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Temple I am telling ya, you know I am the worst for buying somthing really nice and just cutting the hell out of it! It's scary because I don't sew which means as others said tape or in dire emergencies staples have been used. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I also cut the pockets out of some of my pants, and Do the squats to make them fresh out of the drier to damn tight jeans fit better, and as much as I hate to admit it I hemn most of my pants with staples. There I've said it!
