Default Packing food to go

I am packing my DH's food for him as he is on the road every day. What do you guys/gals take when you do this. So far its chicken breasts, other lean meats, hard boiled eggs, whole grain bread, what else can I send for him. He's 240 about 30# of fat to lose.
He has got his schedule to where he can train 4 days a week and is working cardio in as he can. Also will 240g protein and 240 g carb be a good start for him as far as diet go or do you recommend something different?
Thanks

Pack him some tuna!! Also he could take a protein shake..just put in a plastic container and add some water, protein bars, cottage cheese, some good ol' veggies, and turkey etc. He should try to make sure he is eating every few hours to keep his metabolism up and try to stay consistent. Pack him a few gallons of H2O!

Cook up a big batch of barley, brown rice, oatmeal and so forth on Sunday then prepack and send along with him. Also grill or roast some veggies and send those along too. (On top of the rice/grains etc) You can precook potatoes/yams...yams especially are good cold/room temp.

Put some oatmeal, eggwhites, cinnamon, and a dash of baking soda in the blender and make a balanced, low glycemic pancake batter. Cook em up, sprinkle some equal on them (or pack some syrup) and put em in tupperware. A perfect balance that he can snack on.
