Hi bros,
I'd like to know if PROPECIA and PROSCAR can be used by women, too. Also,if it stops the growing of unwanted hair(male pattern-growing hair). If yes,in what dosages?
Is there any drug that can atenuate the coarse voice in women,as e resault of using steroids?
Thanks

Propecia/Proscar should never be used by women. If you are susceptible to androgenetic alopecia, oral spironolactone may be your best bet.

Propecia should NOT be used by a woman that is considering to be pregnant. She should not even handle the pills.

My hair started to fall out after a cycle of Deca. I started to take 500mg of Saw Palmetto and that stopped the falling out. BUT, what fell out, stayed off, you can never regrow that hair. As to the voice change. Nothing that I KNOW of can change that. I also, got a deeper voice, DON'T like it BUT nothing I can do about it, BUT live with it. SORRY, I know that's probably NOT what you wanted to hear, but that is the TRUTH.

Let me know if you DO find anything that can change your voice back I would be very interested if there is such a thing.

Good Luck to you.

I was taking 20mg every Monday and Thursday. I did this for 6 weeks. I was planning on eight weeks but my voice was very hoarse by the sixth week so I stopped.

The hair actually started to fall out about 7 days after I stopped. I lost alot of hair I would say about 20%. When I washed my hair I was losing about 3 to 4 fists full of hair in addition to the daily fall out. Which was alot as the floor area where I sit at work was full of hair and I don't comb my hair during the day. I was really frightened that I was going to lose almost all my hair.

I read a few posts on Elite about Saw Palmetto and hair growth and thought I would give it a try before resorting to Propecia.

I started to take 320mg a day and within two weeks the fall out slowed down so I increased the dosage to 500mg a day and the fall out stopped all together. Thank god it didn't go any further. I was panicked.

As you may already know I am now on Anavar at 15mg. a day and have not had any hair fall out or any other side effect. Am still taking the 500 mg of Saw Palmetto a day just to be on the safe side.

Hope this is what you wanted.

I have had nothing but problems with hair loss. I am now under 2 doctor's care. Hair started to fall out with 100mg a week of promobolin, than really got flying when I switched to Sust 250, 1/2 cc every 3 weeks. My test levels stayed very high for 3 months. Finally when they dropped, hair stopped shedding. Lost alot but have 3 inch hairs coming back in everywhere!
Tryed the Proscar at 1/2 a tab a day. Did not help at all. Doing a 25mg Spirolactone 2x a day, under doc's care. Doesn't seem to help either. The only thing that helps is staying clean! What a drag!!!
Currently doing 25mg Cyp, 25 Mg Deca, 1/2 cc of B12 and 1/2cc of B Complex. Was prescribed to do it 2x a week, but within 3 days of going back on, hair started to fall out again. Going to have the doc drop the Cyp and try the Deca only.
Doc also mixed me up some Minoxidil with Azaleic acid 2x a day and mixed me up a special Nizoral Shampoo with Azelic acid and Spirolactone.
Nothing helps!

Bebe, when you say stop hair growth you mean the hair in the mustache and chin area. Nothing will stop that. I also saw extra hair growing in those areas, but nothing major. I DON'T Shave or WAX that area. I just bleach the hair and that works for me. Just stop the gear and what you got, you got. All you can do is Laser Removal, which if you don't have a lot can be something feasible.

As for the extra hair growing in other areas, like legs, underarms. You just need to shave more often.

I asked a docotor friend of mine about the vocal cord treatment and he said there is NO medication for vocal cords. Said that he thought there was a Laser treatment as mentioned by Warlobo, but didn't know How successful it would be as he did not know anyone who had ever done it. He also mentioned that the only thing he knew that affects the vocal cords is ESTROGEN HORMONE treatment like the ones used by male transexuals. But then, that would defeat the purpose of taking steroids in the first place.

This is WHY it is so important to do research before doing a cycle. Before women do steroids they should be aware of ALL the possible side effects and be wiling to live with the results should you develop them. Particularly the permanent side effects. Hair Growth, Hair Loss, Deepen of the voice are ALL listed as PERMANENT side effects on MOST steroids.

Live and Learn.
