Default Another question about form

When you do stiff-leg deadlifts, do you lock your knees? I was taught to do it that way years ago, but have since come to believe that it is a set-up for a hyperextension injury.

I have six locks on my door, all in a row. When I go out, I lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three of them.

DO NOT EVER LOCK YOUR KNEES!!!!!!!!!!
That is a surefire way to get an injury---in stiffleggeds, you want to keep your knees straight, but soft, if you know what I mean.

I like to lock my knees, round my back, and then bounce five or six times at the bottom.

This is one topic the old lady and I have a mif over. She will do them locked for the first few light sets to fully strech the hams. Then, as she pyramids up, she will EVER SO SlIGHTLY "crack" her knees. Hell, I don't know... she's fricking doing 135 for reps of 10 and in her 14th week! Gads, the kid ain't even here yet and I'm stressing....
