Just Curious as to everybody's plans now that winter has arrived....I will be bulking up a bit for the next month (as I have this whole month of November).....and then in Jan. I begin my pre-contest, Pre-Arnold Classic expo diet.....I expect to be up to about 148 by 1-1-01.....I plan to come in at showtime a rock solid 140----My next cycle starts on Dec 10th or so----So what is everyones wintertime plan?????

Want to bulk up. Would love to get to 140, I'm 5'2" and can't seem to get past the 130 mark. Then will diet down to stay at around 135lbs lean.

It's a test shot w/that guy I told you about - the fashion photog who wants to get into fitness photography.....I told him about ya and he would LOVE to shoot ya too!.....and that's just from looking at OLD pics. I told him that the way you look now blows the "old" you right outta the water!
I've been putting it off for several weeks now. I told him around the 22nd of Dec or so.....do you think I'll make it? Shit, I'm so fat *cough* I mean large.....I think the only veins I got showing are the ones running down the middle of my head! You thinkin' I should do some cardio, maybe? |

You know, I'm sitting here feeling swollen like a tick and I'm thinking that late Jan is looking ripe about now. It's just that I've been putting this off for one reason or another - I dunno. I'll consult with the experts. They'll see how tubby I've become tomorrow nite and if they think that I can be ready in time, I'd actually prefer doing it sooner than later. You know that Thanksgiving fun?.....well I've stretched it out to a week and now my fucking "bulking pants" no longer fit - THANK GOD FOR DRAWSTRINGS and SPANDEX!

After my addition to the population, I'm just trying to stay consistent and patient! [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img] Today I weigh 146 at 5'7, but the baby ate a lot of muscle off me! I don't know what my BF is but I don't care right now. I'd like to get down to 14%, I was about 12 or 13 before baby. I don't really care about the scale as long as my clothes fit (more fit every week!) and I don't feel my ass jiggle when I run. I guess I'm trying to regain my muscle by lifting heavy but I'm hitting cardio pretty hard to regain some of my aerobic conditiong. I've been weight training for about 3 weeks and I see changes already, so I am really pysched. I've been staying close to my training partner and she and I were training together 4 X a week before baby. I had 9 happy months of bulking up ( I sure do miss those late night runs to Krispy Kreme) so now I'm tring to transform myself into a Hot Mama like bikini mom.

My girlfriend and I are planning to start our bulking cycle Dec 4. Right after that she'll be hitting her diet cycle and I'll take a 4 week break and then hit my dieting cycle. She's 5'8" 150lbs 16%BF. I'm 6'0" 205lbs 14%BF. We had done one bulking cycle previous to this 8 weeks ago and that's why we're so fat [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif[/img]. She's hoping to gain 10 more pounds and I'm shooting for 20-30 more pounds.

If I am not blind, seems as if this same thread was deleted on Elite..I couldnt find it on the first page??? who knows? Anyway...I am at the gym and the manager comes up to me and says "are you doing any cardio?? I see you doing nothing but weights"..I replied "well Im trying to build mass right now and im laying off of cardio till February"...he starts telling me how I need to do cardio and blah, blah, blah....I guess he thinks im getting too fat!!!!! You had it right! Whats up with the people that work in the gyms??? Im not sure if its like that everywhere, but at mine there is only 1 or 2 that have good muscular bodies (nothing to die for) and the rest are overweight or there's no muscle in sight!!!

There is only ONE trainer at my primary gym that I would ask for advice. She is about 40 and a competitive bber.....beautiful physique, amazing poser (I've seen her on stage.). The rest are so sorely OUT OF SHAPE that it is SCARY!.....I MEAN S-C-A-R-Y!!!
Don't get me wrong. A trainer would not have to have a bbing physique for me to consider them "in-shape". HOWEVER, either FAT and CHEEZY (I'm not talking FAT and HAPPY BULKED, EITHER.) or skinny/fat and flabby and TOTALLY VOID OF SHAPE! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?! |

no seriously----why take some advice from someone who clearly doesnt apply it to themselves, and thererfore has no clue if it is real practical advice---I would listen anyday to someone who looked better then I did----in fact, i would seek them out to learn form them....It amazes me to see gelatinous $ twig people working in gyms---trainers should be healthy health conscious individuals.....My gym has all kids---teenagers in highschool training peolpe---the things I watch some of these "trainers" teach people & let people do blows my mind---- |

Your average neighborhood gym isn't about quality trainers! It's all about a used car salesperson that might happen to know the difference between pec major and your quads. What a load of crap! Even the people who might actually know something about bodybuilding seem to have the attention span of a 9-y-o suffering from ADD.

Jaye, LOL! Yeah, every gym has its fair share of idiots. I'm lucky my workout partner is the hugest dude in the gym--no one even looks my way and they gladly surrender the equipment...he he. Growth is a great deterrent I guess for stupid wet sh*t lookin' gym people...he he.
