Aww thanks.. you are a sweetheart.
here is youtube vid I found.. this one was actually posted on the other board I saw the thread about. Although my feet werent' that high up and I just used bodyweight. I can start incorporating these every other workout and adding a plate on my lap to make it more intense.

I did this also @ the end of my workout before we ended with stretching. I know I am gonna bitch John out tomorrow. He tells me that he wants to be the first thing on my mind every morning after we train BALLS to the walls
PS, I am the one that is minus the actual balls, lol.

Oh I've done those, I've done those!!! Well, very similar!
I've done them with my feet on the floor -- GREAT exercise! It is so damn hard; way harder than it looks! Putting the feet up-- WOW!!!
But with a plate??? Gurl, you crazy! ;) I like it! How many did you crank out? Did you just use a flat bench for your feet or something?

well I did 1 set with my feet on the floor and I said oh no we need to make it more intense, it was a bit easier. So we just got a flat bench and rolled it over. If you go to youtube, there are different vids of guys doing them.
I did 3 sets of smith rows @ 90 pounds x 8, then cranked these out right after. 3 sets of 10 - last 3-4 of the last 2 sets john had to give me a tap to get up all the way and flex. Putting your feet on the bench = harder but makes for a bigger back! :p

True . Beautiful legs.
I agree... I really like the rack chins and have added them in as well, as my lats are BY FAR my weak point!

I've done those before too, but never heard them called rack chins before. Usually hear them called upside down or hanging rows.
Never thought of using a plate before to add weight. Will definitely try that next time!

I love those too. I have also heard them called inverted rows and fatman pullups. I have tried them on a bench but have never added weight.
Love your legs!

I like rack chins as well. Here is a video of me from a few months ago doing them.

No offense to anyone, I think these are affectionally called 'fat man pullups'. Or maybe not so affectionate.

I believe the name "rack pulls/chins" comes from DC (DoggCrapp) Training. It is a regular exercise used for the back width routine.

Redvine, I couldn't disagree more. Give them a try. They are alot harder then you think.
Mike, I had my GF carefully place it on my lap to avoid "the boys" haha

Didn't mean to say they were easy, I know they aren't as I've tried them with a weighted vest and 'blast straps' - in fact the 'fat man pullups' term is from EliteFTS advert for the straps. :)

I think there is a reason you don't see anyone huge doing these. You can get a better lat workout by doing other movement. Pullups or pulldowns (prefer these) should be your primary exercise for lat width. I could see doing these only for my last exercise if I was trying to burn myself out and go really slow, but I would do pullups on the assisted machine instead of these.
Just my opinion.

IMO, Rack chins work your lats just as much or more then pull ups.

I don't claim to be huge, but i've been doing them for years.

Also, Chins > Pulldowns, imo.

I would agree that you are big, but no I personally don't consider you huge. You are strong I am sure as you are a competitive lifter. But it is still my opinion that you would get better growth doing other lifts than that.

Me either. At least we can agree there ;)

You actaully may be correct here, im not entirely sold there, but i wont discount it completely 'cause we will never know. However, from a performance based aspect, the rack chins allow for a much better dynamic lift than a pull down or even a pullup. Therein lies the beauty of it.

WW and Craig, thanks for posting! Awesome WO for someone who is not strong enough to pull herself up in a regular pull-up.
