Default I think I will just let them fire me

My job is doing the IBM / Offshore bullshit that will die a miserable death, but they are going to have the Bobs come in and select who gets to stay and who gets the opportunity to expand personal horizons.. AS if no one gave a shit before now they really don't give a shit! I will be accepting a new job (mo money) as early as this week.. I don't think I am going to quit this job.. I am going to "work from home" and just stop by now and again and when they complain just toss in my 2 weeks and no show.. I think I can milk 4-6 weeks out of it, the extra money sure would be nice!

I am not in your business, but work at home 50-60 percent of the time and only go in the office once or twice a week, wish we could just close it.

I work in IT as well and I only go into the office maybe 2-3 times per week just to show my face. WFH is the best!

I work for a large health insurance company and they are more wasteful than the gov't!!!!! We have over 120 vice presidents as we make the old GM looks streamlined..... I'm a Cisco head...

Do you guys who work from home find that you are self-motivated enough to actually get your job done each day?

Even while Maury and Jerry are on???

I get more done at home because people have less free access to me.. I screw off at work as much or more than at home.. Gym is a 5 minute walk away, BBQ chicken and steak.. It works for my lifestyle

much easier to work from home, no walk ups, no joking around BS, the down side is your home turns into a prision, I live here, work here, sleep here 7 days a week. WIth little to no human interaction, that is why I am an AF'r. I never talk to my employees, that is what Instant Message is for. As for meetings, 1 word, delegate and shoot me an email if there is anything that I actually need to do.

Motivation.. some weeks are better than others, you just get so much done you find yourself with nothing to do a lot of the time, hence your DVR is your friend

That sucks, man. Our office has seen an influx of Six Sigma turds lately. Nothing like people who couldn't do your job trying to tell you how to do your job! And if it isn't the Six Sigma black belts, it is consultants coming in and fucking things up.

Just so happens that one of these consulting firms pissed me off today. But rather than running my mouth, I thought about it for about 10 minutes. Then I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Fuck 'em.

lol, man, sounds just like my company, f'n SIx Sigma Green and Black belts think they know everything and can fix things that are not even broken. I hate those jackoffs! ohh and I love the processes they come up with, they never care to ask if they exist in the first place. Man you got my blood boiling over those f'rs, lol

Yeah, I probably get more done while at home. There are too many distractions in the office and the time I'd normally spend commuting can be spent actually working.
