Default If u had to choose between CLA and Carnitine....which one

trying to get some more info for on what would be better for fatburning, CLA or L-carnatine. I've read past threads first but would like to get som current opinions ASAP for a debate.

I just did a little research for you heres what I came up with about CLA weight loss wonder, reduces body fat, enhances immunity, supports healthy inflamation response and potent provider of antioxidant protection. And for CARNITINE it is not a true amino acid but more of a water soluble vitamin that the body uses to turn fat into energy.Carnitine is not normally considered essential because the body can make enough from amino acids lysine and methionine.I would go with CLA.

We've found ALCAR to be superior to CLA. But you didn't ask about ALCAR Acetyl l Carnitine. I have no experience with l-carnitine.

well me personally I use ALCAR but have just dropped it only because by the time i take 12 Levorex a day my requirement of ACLAR is covered i believe. I personally like the ALCAR but as far as cost during me contest prep right now i get enough from the Levorex i believe.

As for the CLA i figure to add it to what i already have to get an additional fat burning affect. I also know that the grassfed beef i eat is full of CLA as well

And yes Ulter the ALCAR is what i meant to ask about and thanks for specifying.

You're right. If you're taking Levorex you really don't need to supplement ALCAR. Use the CLA.

CLA is good stuff. I was using 12g a day, along w/ levorex at 12 caps and Glucorell at 600mg-1g daily last summer, and it was great. I was clean, but managed to gain some LBM (probably some post-cycle rebound)and drop BF at the same time.

Just keep the dose high, or its not worth using. Most supps operate on mech's that are far from equillibrium, so you have to mega-dose to get the desired effect.

yeah at 12 gr a day that would get pricy quick. I wish i would have added it sooner but feel it will be a fine addition to my contest prep

To get the fat burning affect you need a min of 7 grams -12 grams. From user info guy's were taking 10 grams or more to see the affect from the fat loss from CLA usage. I use 6 grams a day. Each 1 gram capsule only has about 75-80% CLA. Maybe more from Tonalin. I don't remember the university study right now but I think if you look it up it states roughly 4 grams was used in the study was optimal for fat loss. I
