Default How To Reduce Your Skin Pore Size?

Has anybody found or used anything to help reduce pore size???

Mainly on the forehead & nose, and off to the side of the nose a little. It's not that bad, but it hasn't gotten any better as i've aged.

Any creams (ie Retin-A) or medication out there that has worked with anybody?

Any of you Accutane users see anything positive in this area?

THANKS!!!

I have never used accutane but I should think it would most defenitly help with something like that. Someone with experience will most likely chime in. I think it might help though.

Personally I tackled the same issue with really good results. I think the key to what I saw for results and anyone else is consistancy. I consistantly go through the same regimen for skin care daily.

For the body I use an acne wash and benz. peroxide for the shoulders and upper back before bed. Gold bond powder for the same areas during the day. If you use the benz. peroxide during the day be careful of what you wear as it will change colors.

For the facial pore issue and acne I use nutragena face wash(the old orange stuff) about three times a day. Immediately following I get my hands wet and spread a thin layer of benz. peroxide all over face. This seems to dry up areas a bit and keeps oil down. About twice a week I will also use a biore poor strip for the nose which is the only area affected for myself. These things are gross but work great. Immediatly following I wipe down the nose area with alcohol which stings, then I rub in some benz. peroxide immediatly to kinda fill any open pores from the strip. Lastly I use a clay face mask a couple times a week. My chick just recently had me try these(I'm not gay as it may seem at this point!!). The clay helps purge oil and dirt and leaves your face feeling tight like you just had a face lift.

Basically you have to primp like a chick to keep up with it. Good luck.

Go OTC and save your money! Any of the Neutrogena "pore refining" products are awesome...it's effective, gentle stuff. I saw results with the cleanser and cream in about a month with everyday use. It's easy to use, doesn't leave a residue on your skin, (it didn't dry me out either) and for the amount you get in a tube the price isn't too bad.

Yes Neutrogena products are good, they have a clay based product which is a face wash and can also be left on as a mask. I cant remember the exact name and I m not at home right now, so I cant look but you'll find it in the shop.

They also have an alcohol based cleanser which is good for pores.

Yes, i've used the Neutragena "Pore Refining Toner & cream" but they really haven't helped much. Maybe i'll give them another shot.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys. LOL...don't worry Johnny, no need to explain about not being gay. Now if you were Monster, i'd probably wonder. The guy shaves like 5x per day...lol Do those Biore strips really work? Never thought i'd get to the point of using a 'mask' but maybe i'll try it out.

I'd like to hear from others as well. Did anybody notice a difference with something like Accutane???

Accutane helped a lot. Your skin just looks better overall. It hasn't been completely effective at reducing pore size...maybe 50-60% of the effect I was hoping for but maybe that's because I am using a very low dose (40mg 2x week).

Hey, thanks for the reply xtinct!

How long did it take to see these results?? Also, is this during your cycle?

Hmmm...40mg 2x/wk isn't very much either.

Give it about 2-3 weeks to judge whether you are satisfied with the results. It's not uncommon that things get worse before they get better with Accutane although I think that is a more common problem with higher doses. I did not have any initial flare-up with the lowe doses I have been using.

The 40mg 2x/wk is what I have been taking for at least 6 months now and I have been on 500mg test + 500mg tren the whole time.

Before the Accutane I had tried some brand of Retin-A and OTC pore reducers but neither one did a good job. B5 works fine for acne in general but it isn't as effective as Accutane for reducing pore size and I had to quit taking it due to stomach problems.

40mg 2x/wk is indeed a very low dose; however, I think that I am particularly sensitive to the effects of Accutane. In the beginning I liked the idea of doing one high-dose cycle to permanently clear up my acne but after a few days on only 40mg/ED the sides got so bad that I had to reduce the dose.

Wow, awesome response bro, I really appreciate it.

My main concern is that of pore size moreso than acne. I only really get acne if I use nadrolones, eat a lot of fast foods and crap foods, or at the beginning of a heavy cycle when hormone fluctuations are extreme.

If I can get away with a lower dose specifically for pore size, then that would be cool. This is probably gonna be one of those things that will differ between individuals though. I don't have any problems with B5 at high dosages, so maybe i'll try that again until I decide whether or not to use Accutane.

I think I remember reading awhile back Decaman stating that tren made his pores worse than other compounds. I've been on tren for the past couple of weeks and only have about a week left, so i'll see if any changes for the better occur.

This whole pore thing never really bothered me until lately... probably because i'm single again...lol.

Anybody else?

THANKS!

I used Accutane for 5 months at 40mg/ed and it reduced pore size a bit but not significantly. I wouldn't recommend it for reducing pore size, for acne yes but for this you will be disappointed IMHO.

If it's not hard it's not worth doing...

For those really going after pore size reductions, there is also a laser treatment for it that actually physically reduces pore size, not just the "appearance" of pore size like the OTC stuff. Though I am sure its pricey.

I dont really know much about this, but I saw some one get it with great results on one of the off-network make-over reality shows that my wife likes to watch.
