I was emailed by an AF member and he was talking about some personal things, asking advice...

To make a long story short, he found a lump on his testicle and tommorrow he is going in for an MRI to see what the lump might be.

There is no reason to think this is anything other than a growth, and in any event it was discovered early and worst case it is still treatable.

But obviously this is very frightening for him and Im sure he would appreciate the best wishes of all of you here.
I want to make sure he knows he has the love and support of me and the whole AF family.


As this is personal I wont name him. He can come out and tell us who he is if he wants to, but he shouldnt feel obligated to.

Update: He is ok with saying it is him, so Ive edited the post.

I had a scare earlier in the year--started off ejaculating blood, then major pain in my left testicle. Found a lump and was pretty scared, but more or less resigned to whatever had to be done. To top it off, my gf and I had been dating seriously for a month. I told her what it might be and that she was free to go her own way. My girlfriend, who spent six months in chemo following a bone marow transplant, told me that she hoped I was alright, but if I had cancer, she would gladly hold my head while I puked. It turned out to be a prostate infection that had spread to my epididymis; considered major, but easily treatable. I was fine in about 3 weeks.

Does Daeo post here anymore? I know that he had to have surgery some years back.

2 major surgries to speak of...
