flax seed oil and prostate problems

I've been taking udo's for a few years now and over time my prostate problems have gotten worse, now I read that omega's 3 in the form of ala increase prostate cancer and problems. I read a few studies. Anyone on here know about this is more detail?

Yes I have and usually recc fish oil for men. Better than flax anyway because there is no conversion, the effas are already present in the fish oil. I like Carlsons liquid fish oil, its lemon flavored, very nice, clean fish oil. Their fish oils products are one of the best and easily found in health food stores.--valerie

I concur with Valerie - you really just want the EPA/DHA - such as is found in fish. Try and make sure the source is wild fish or krill to make sure there is no mercury or other heavy metals. I prefer Pure Encapsulations as they test every batch for heavy metals. And as Valerie said there is no need to convert the omega to a useable form, which is necessary with flax as about half of all people lack delta 6 desaturase enzymes

hmmm I've been taking flax oil for years I never heard of it causing prostate cancer. I did a google search and saw a bunch of bad things I always thought it was good for you.
