Default When do you start cutting?

In the last fewyears I have watched people post about their cutting cycle and they usually have a deadline that goes along with their cutting goal. Spring break, vacation, beaches open, wedding, contest prep, etc. What I have noticed though is that people without such deadlines, for the most part, start cutting at different times of the year depending on where they live.

When do you start cutting?
Where do you live?

Well Ulter,
Up here it is 16 degrees without the windchill so I wont have to worry about the good weather for a while. Ill probably start in about April. That will give me about 8 weeks until summer (June) and then keep going a few more weeks.

I usually start in mid May or beginning of June and aim to hit my peak for August.

However this year I'm also doing a mini cutter of 3 weeks in Jan (i.e right now) to experiment if I get better results than one mammoth cutting cycle pre-summer.

I lived the past 6 years in Spain but now I'm back in the UK.

Deadlines suck. Every time I set a deadline, something crazy happens and makes it impossible, like my gym blows up, or I get arrested for being too sexy. Something always comes up that really makes life tough.

The best for me is just set a goal and keep at it untill it's done. But then again, I'm married and dont have a good reason to show off (at least thats what I told the cop).

In south Texas its too hot to get a lot of cardio in The spring and summer. The best time for me is now; December-March...maybe April. By the time it hits june 95+ heat and 80% humidity make outdoor cardio a real chore. Add in thermo's and the difficulty with hydration, and its prety clear Winter/spring is the time for rippin' out here.

The other thing I use is the mirror. If Im looking a little soft around the mid section I try to set up a diet, increase my volume and try to get in AM sprints as often as possible.

April 1st..and might I add clean for the year 2004 . For the next three months I'm going to focus on adding some size while keeping my bodyfat at the current 10-12% range. I was at a friends house the other night and saw a picture from dec 99 when I was 196lbs and lean without ever having touched a steroid. And remembered the dedication I had to both my training and diet that year, that is my motivation for the upcoming year. T-rex,glucorell-R, and yohimburn will be my summer drugs

Bulking sucks and I've come to realize I will always be 200lbs

I start cutting whenever my bodyfat creeps up there... My measurement of a disgusting 15.5% about a week ago led to my current psycho-cutfest.. That's up from 8% in July the last time I measured... been a WONDERFUL 5 months diet-wise...

Think I'll diet naturally till I break 10%.

I'm in a temperate climate so I don't usually have to worry about inclement weather.

I try to stay between 8-10 year around, and dip downwards to 6-7 for several months. So I guess if I get to 10, maybe 6-8 weeks to get back low and then maintain or creep a little lower. A vacation of some sort is usually the reward.

I am starting my first ever cutting cycle after having a good look at myself in the mirror. I looked fat. I never used any calipper or mesured my bodyfat. I just look at the mirror. The last time I looked, I did not like what I saw.

I am not going to do anything dramatic diet or training wise. I will modify my last meals of the day, do a cardio session before every workout and try the fina again (in small dosages as with "normal" dosages I got gyno).

I live south of your border. Sunny and warm all year long.

I start in December, as summer starts late dec. and the rains cease mid-january.

It sucks to diet in this season.

I live in Brazil btw...

The happy note is that I found a cheap (decent) caliper and bought it, now I am waiting for the delivery. I tried to order one from af store (along with other items) but shipping was a killer - evil exchange rates...

My plan will be a lot like J's, except for cutting, i'll also add a mix of Tren/test/winny/masteron/eq/T3/ECY/Yohimburn, etc... for about 4-5 months.

I've had a hell of a time getting into the gym this year and gained quite a bit of fat as well. The fast food hasn't helped either. Normally, i'd just start leaning up from this fatness, but I want to gain/regain a little size first before reverting to my cutting phase. So, i'll use these next 3-4 months for gaining some size, and yes more fat, before I really lay the smack down.

So maybe i'll try to look decent by Memorial Weekend, awesome by July 4th, and FUKKENSHREDDED by Aug-sept. Yeah...that'll work just fine with me.

I'll probably not do much for Spring Break this year, so this time period isn't entirely demanding for me right now.

Until cutting...i'm hoping a Test/NPP/d-bol/eq cycle will add a little size first.

Man, it sure is a lot funner now posting since I downloaded SpyBot S&D. Cured whatever problem I had that was fucking w/ my keyboard....i'm gonna try to post a lot more now.

I had to start cutting after my mother in law was asking me in all seriousness if there was something wrong with my thyroid or if I meant to put on all that weight.....It felt like a kid was pointing a finger a me and yelled: "Mommy, mommy, look at that fat man".....

I, like Ulter and Mr. Nobody, live in the Sunshine State. I never really "cut" but I do try and stay in reasonably good shape all year round. Never know when you are going to get a hot spell and have great beach weather in the middle of winter

My bulking and cutting phases center around school. Therefore I tend to bulk in the summer when I don't have class and plenty of time to eat and train. I used to cut in winter because I would TRY and run and it's easier when its not so hot out. I also kinda liked the cold for running, it kept you going to stay warm.

Right now I'm bulking for about two more weeks, then I will begin cutting so that by the time summer is here I can run another bulk cycle.

I live in Northeast Ohio.
