Its almost Christmas and Prancer needs your help!

...Not that prancer.

My wife's board name is prancer. She has been hypothyroid for about 4 years. These last two months she has been a little depressed, not her usual motivated facist self. I assumed it was just the various stresses from life, we're both in school, have little, if any free time, crazy parents that need guidance, very little "spending money"...the usual for going to college a little ater in life. Unfortunately it seems the problem wasnt depression. She's been getting cold sensitive, and her wieght is up ~8lbs, even though her diet is cleaner now than ever and she's swimming 2x/wk for an hour.

She was using 5grains of biotech thyroid daily, Untill the FDA had problem with some paperwork, and put a halt on their production, and so she switched to Armour. Roughly a month after the switch was when I first noticed her symptoms of depression, which coincindentally was about 3 weeks into the semester. More trouble...The freakin walgreens we've been using only had 3 grain tabs, so we figured no harm in bumping it a grain untill they get the 2's back in. So know she's on 6 grains/d and its having little effect.

She went to our doc, who is kick-ass, and he drew blood to check: T3 total/serum, T4 total/serum, TSH, and relevant anti-bodies. He thinks she may be creating anti-bodys to her thyroid meds. She also has an atrophied thyroid, which is no big surprise. Im worried about her, but she's pretty optimistic.

I got her some Ergolean MC, which is basically 50mg of guugul, selenomethionine, and olive leaf extract, which looks like a good stack for her condition, and Im having her take a 12.5mg ephe hcl+800mg of piracetam 2x/d. If anyone can think of anything else to help her thyroid, mood or decrease fat deposition, Im all ears.

I'm just looking for any input as to how to treat this, prevent this from occurring in the future, any relevant links...anything that could help at all.

have her try P-7....good for depression and will bump up thyroid activity

sorry i can't help much, can't the doc do anything about it? try to get her referred to a thyroid specialist/endocrinologist...best wishes to you and prancer! stay optimistic with her!

Has she tried P Seven or Neurogenex/Liporexin?

Thanks PA. Untill the test come back the doc really doesnt know what we're dealing with. I trust him more than the specialist in this area.

She hasnt used P7, neurogenix, or liporexin. Would you recomend stacking them all?

I got the ergo product because its got 50mg of guggul, and the other two products all in one. I was going to get guggul powder from here, but I was afraid she wouldnt like the taste and I couldnt cap the doses correct.
