Default Anyone ever kept track of fat and muscle loss?

Have any of you ever done this, and found a general ammount that you loose of each. Like say you loose 1lb of muscle for every five pounds of fat or something to that effect. I'm trying to currently track mine to see how much muscle i loose and how much fat. Just wondering what other have found. Thanks for your time.

I kept track of it from my last show when I dieted down from 258 to 216. I'm not sure what bodyfat% I was at when I was 258 but I know that my lean body mass was 221. I weighed into my competition at 216 and I probably should've been a little leaner so I will saw my LBM was about 214 at competition. I know that's alot of LBM to loose but I had to do some extreme dieting towards the end to loose the bodyfat.

Sounds like you did well, you lost 42 lbs, and your LBM only dropped 7 lbs of muscle. So for every 6lbs of fat you lost one pound of muscle. That doensn't sound too bad YOU HAVE TO LOOSE A LITTLE I GUESS?. What kinda diet did you do?

East Coast,

E-mail me. I have a Excel doc that you plug in bf%, height, and weight and it calculates fat free mass % for you quick and easy (was courtesy of Bjaarki). Makes tracking changes a snap.
