Question regarding drug testing

Ok, I have a strong feeling a former co-worker will try and be vindictive against me. Its very possible he will call, or have someone else call and accuse me of using steroids. If my employer does give me a drug test, are they smart enough to request a specific test for steroids or will they just give me a regular drug test? They have no proof that I use steroids, and I will pass a regular drug test just fine. I just want to be ready in case it comes down to this.

Well a regular on as you know will not detect the use, one designed to test for steroids will...but as you may of read before them tests are costly. And are the worth the effort of the company the spend that amount of money for a person. Hell I work for the state and they know I use, as long as it does not affect my job they do not care about physical enhancement drugs. Now recreational ones, yes they do, cause they tend to impair judgement, ability to perform work, things like that.

THEY dont have to be smart enough to administer a steroid test. They call whereever does drug testing for them and say what their situation is. The testing site would know what to do. But from there its a matter of what type of steroid test they administer.

The important thing is that companies do take things like personal preformance and the character of the individual into consideration.
Some anonymous call reporting an otherwise good employee of steroid use may not hold much weight with them, otherwise they would be dealing with loads of call of people who want to be dicks and try to get someone in trouble. You may be ok...

I was asked to sign a statement by management regarding an issue by this person which eventually led to his termination. Management does not like this individual and personally, neither do I.

I think I'll be ok with my job but I'm still a little paranoid. In the past, people at work have always joked that I must be using steroids but none of them ever knew for sure.
