Default Fukkenshredded in reverse

Fukkenshredded, you frequently say that losing fat is more difficult than gaining muscle, but do you have any tips for gaining muscle without gaining fat at the same time?

How do you stay lean when bulking?

Global, I am in the same boat as you. It is easier physically for me to get cut then to put on muscle at this point of the game. Seems I gain around 2 - 2.5 lbs of fat per 1 lb of muscle. To top it off, I carry a high % of my fat at my waist, so I don't really bulk on purpose anymore.

Very similar to me Killer, right now I can hardly pinch my skin on my arms, legs, chest etc, as there is no fat there, however after several months of buulking I now have a nice spare tire round my waist.

I can only attribute this to estrogenic fat accumulation as I dont have fat anywhere else, but this occurs whether I am "on" or not.

It is easier to gain muscle in the 8-9% bodyfat range than it is at 6%. The body almost always wants to add a bit of fat along with the muscle. The reason I gain so little is because I stay below 10% year round.

To gain, simply increase your clean food intake and gear amount along with an emphasis on heavy squats and dead lifts.

Going at maintanence with calories and adding gear should help gaining little mass while not putting on fat. I can't imagine gaining much lbm though as it is really important to increase calories when bulking, but it's possible to do it this way and keep gaining at a steady yet slow pace.

Fukken you're so right on that, if i sit around 10% i make my best gains, more than that i feel fat, less gains are hell to come by.

Well fellas you can't really circumvent the laws of thermodynamics. Kcal surplus, hence muscle and concommital fat gain. Kcal deficit, fat loss and if you're prudent only minor skeletal muscle loss.

Gear can give you a bump and if you're a neophyte to training, you can gain muscle without gaining fat. Other than that, advanced trainees even with heavy stacks of gear will have an almost impossible time gaining actual skeletal lean tissue(measured by DEXA)without the required fat gain as well.

The key is the minimizing the fat deposition while maximizing the muscle gain.(through effective diet, supplementation and scientific training methodologies)

Don't even think of trying to do one without the other. Just accept it for what it is and realize that everything is context specific anyways.

Good luck.

Yes I had heard that Spanishdude, I'm going to start my cutting cycle in 2-3 weeks time during which I will be running liquidex, and then afterwards I think I'll just keep on with the ldex at a low dose for a few months and see if it helps prevent the fat returning.
