I was wondering what everyone eats before and after a workout? Also what is the benefit of taking dextrose after, and does anyone?
I have been eating fruit and starches before and whey protein and a grapefruit after. |

I eat whatever my meal 3 is if I go after work then have whey + BCAAs pwo.....
If I lift 1st thing in the am I have whey + BCAA pre, BCAA during & whey + BCAA post.....

Exactly.......helps me out a LOT! I can't say enough about it myself.....helps curb hunger in me too.....
I prefer Xtend - Orange, Watermelon & Lemonade flavors of BCAAs.....can't say enough good things about it & I highly recommend it.....

20g protein 30min before lifting, 40g protein right after.
If I'm doing cardio, nothing before, and a protein shake that includes fresh fruit afterwards.
