Default Wow, Obama's Pastor really is a nutcase

Among other things, like "God Damn AmeriKKKa," this ignoramus said:

“The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”

This is the man from whom Obama derived spiritual guidance - married him and his wife, and baptized his two kids. Assuming Obama did not agree with his Pastor's statements at one time, which is a bit difficult to do in itself, Obama certainly showed a terrible lack of judgment in choosing this man as his conduit to spiritual truth. I think this story has legs and will affect his support. I certainly hope so. The more I learn about this guy, the more he seems like very bad news.

Amazing. I guess if you have the jive and rhythm down, and gesticulate with the proper sense of drama, you can convince people to believe anything. The metaphor of the shepherd and his SHEEP, certainly has some application here, though, in a sense that I am sure was not intended by the Bible

He's something alright. Imagine if a preacher had millions of followers and said things like this....

On NOW:
The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."

Planned Parenthood:
"It is teaching kids to fornicate, teaching people to have adultery, every kind of bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism-everything that the Bible condemns."

On the Supreme Court:
I am bound by the laws of the United States and all 50 states...I am not bound by any case or any court to which I myself am not a party...I don't think the Congress of the United States is subservient to the courts...They can ignore a Supreme Court ruling if they so choose

On Homosexuals:
Many of those people involved with Adolph Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals--the two things seem to go together. [no one told him the Nazi's killed homosexuals as fast as they killed Jews]

On Ellen:
Hurricane Katrina was God’s way of expressing its anger at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for its selection of Ellen Degeneres to host this year’s Emmy Awards. ‘By choosing an avowed lesbian for this national event, these Hollywood elites have clearly invited God’s wrath,’

On Gay Day at Disney:
I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you, This is not a message of hate -- this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor."

On nuking the State Dept:
Maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up

On why Ariel Sharron suffered a heart attack:
God considers this land to be his. You read the Bible and he says 'This is my land,' and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, 'No, this is mine.' ... He was dividing God's land. And I would say, 'Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations, or the United States of America.' God says, 'This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.

On President Chavez:
"We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability,"

Boy if that isn't Christian I don't know what is.

Still waiting for that massive terror attack on the US that will leave us paralyzed as a nation in the 2nd half of 2007.

Moving the attention elsewhere does not take away the fact that ol' Jeramiah said what he said.

I didn't say it did. But the fact is George Bush is a PR supporter and has hired 143 lawyers from Robertson's law school as part of his staff. No other president has even hired one. Now THAT's support.
PR is a raving lunatic.

Wow, I didnt think anyone would actually in any way to try to defend or deflect from the well deserved criticism of Wright. I suppose some just have no ability to ever waiver from thier partisanship.....no matter how wrong and disgusting those whom they ypport.

Yeah I defended him. Where? I didn't say anything about him at all except. "He's something alright".

I'm pointing out that when Harley says, "Obama certainly showed a terrible lack of judgment in choosing this man as his conduit to spiritual truth."
He need only look to White House to see this in spades.

Obama goes to this man's church. I doubt he'll hire this man's disciples when he becomes president like Bush did with Robertson.

You can say what you want about Robertson, who I admit is a whacko, Robertson didnt make the outlandish racial comments that Wright did. If he had made anything close to the comments that Wright made except in the reverse about blacks, he would have been buried or in prison by now.

But you know what, whatever man. All you dems can say is "Bush did this" and "Bush did that"....whatever. Defend Obamas shady background all you want. Its typical of the double standard hypocritical democrats of today.

Obama has a shady background because the preacher at one of the churches he attends is a lunatic?

U've got to be kidding me????

No PR didnt make outlandish racial comments... Just COMPLETELY MANIACAL comments about every other group of people... I mean come on, you cant possibly say that is ok.

I think EVERY religious figurehead like either of these to whack jobs is crazy... but Bush's support of the Christian machine is undeniable... I doubt strongly Obama will be praising this guy any time soon, or allowing him to continue... In fact I believe he has already been removed correct?

Sure he is shady. His long standing relationship with this pastor and the connection to Farrakhan, other issues such as his use of a different "anglo" name (Barry)while growing up, his admitted drug use over his confusion and frustration about his identity, the lack of accountability for periods of time spent between bouncing between schools and jobs, the young male accuser who claims to have had oral sex and used drugs with Mr. Obama in a limo in the 90's, comments and actions that seem on the surface to show disillusion with America and American culture such as refusing to wear the standard flag lapel pin that most senators wear, his wifes comments regarding not having been proud of her country until now, finally Mr. Obama's short amount of experience and political youth, and lastly Mr. Obama's radically leftist voting record indicating his inability to compromise or reach across the isle to GOP colleauges to get things done.

Yes, this man is shady as hell and will have many more skeletons come out before its over, you mark my words on that.

Yes, anyone who attended Falwell's sermons for twenty years, and was married by him, and had his children baptized by him, I would regard with the same misgivings and suspicions as I do Obama. What's your point?

hey, even here in Liberal Socialist Degerate Immigrant Loving Canada we have a Minister of Public Safety who refused to pay respect to Arafat.. not because he was a terrorist, but because he believed the man had The AIDS (and deserved to die from Gods Vengance as God Hates Fags)

it's no different from Harry Reid supposedly getting his marching orders from the Supreme Commander of the LDS, but in reality he doesnt do very much that a Good Mormon would approve of
