Default Long term diuretic use...(?)

Im curious as to if there is a diuretic that is safe and wise to use long term? After three years of continuous use (of gear, not diuretics) I have noticed a little water retention. Nothing major, and not really even a problem per se, a little in my hands when they are hanging down (incidently, my father and mother always had problems with the same thing) and Im sure a little bit elsewhere.

Being of the "if its not broke dont fix it" mind set, I dont think I would care to use an anti estrogen to fix this. I dont have any other estrogen related sides, and (IMO) estrogen is needed by the body just as testosterone is, so eradicating what could be the "correct" amount of estrogen may throw everything off for me.

So Im wondering what diuretics are the best selection.
OTC ones are out of the question, as they require you to control water intake to be effective, and other than preshow, I feel water intake should be kept high!

Any thoughts/suggestions?

No bro, I don't agree with your thinking. You are getting older (who isn't?), you have been on for years, and your body is going to have a harder and harder time dealing with estrogen. You have to cave and get rid of it. Don't attack the symptoms, get rid of the cause.

I agree with Ulter. The water retention is most probably the consequence of excess estrogen. I think its time for you to try a low dose of anti estrogen.

Also, long term diurectic use can't be good for you.

There's a good article in MMI (along with a cool article by GoPro called Hypertropy Hints) about estrogen and the role it plays in mens' bodies. It talks about the need to control it and lists some pretty good natural anti-estrogen foods. It's quite an interesting read...

PS - not all OTC diuretics require water restriction. Like Ulter said, why treat the symptom? Attack the source.

No need to rob old ladies yet

Nolvadex should do fine since your symptoms are quite mild.

Since some diuretics are prescribed as blood pressure meds, wouldn't those be safe for long term use. (the potassium sparing ones at least?)
