Default Immune system down - could it be liver?

Hi Guys,

Usually my immune system is way up on J, but this time around I got sick and have been sick for 2 weeks, even my herpes came out, I'm on the follwoing..

30mg ED of Pink Thai D-Bol (Completed 2 weeks, then had to stop)
500mg of Enanthate (Weeks 1-10) Currently @ week 4
400mg of EQ (Weeks 1-10) Currently @ week 4

Could the D-Bol have overloaded my liver and caused my immune system deficiency?

Thx
Lat

you'll get good responses to this question, but remember your altered cortisol metabolism is probably the reason your immune system has weakened. i've seen this in myself.

What can I do then to get out of this cold? Nothing is working...I'm sleeping all day, taking ecchinacea, milk thistle, multi-vits and cough syrup + food...

What type of eq and test are you using? Some products contain more bactarias than others and this might be the cause for your illness.

How many times per week are you training? When you overtrain, you supress your immune system and become more vulnerable to viruses and infections.

I suggest that you stop training until you feel better. Then start back slowly.

Start taking a super high dose of Vitamin C, cut back on training, get lots of rest. Maybe load up on some lysine for the flare up. Also chill out, you'd be suprised the effect that stress can have on your immune system.

The effects of anabolic steroids and strength training on the human immune response.

Calabrese LH, Kleiner SM, Barna BP, Skibinski CI, Kirkendall DT, Lahita RG, Lombardo JA.

Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Disease, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, OH 44195-5028.

The immune response was assessed in 13 competitive bodybuilders self-administering anabolic-androgenic steroids and ten competitive bodybuilders not administering these drugs. Laboratory assessment included the number and relative distribution of T-cells, T-helper/inducer cells, T-cytotoxic/suppressor cells, activated T-cells, lymphocyte transformation to the mitogens, pokeweed mitogen (PWM), phytohemagglutinin (PHA), Concanavalin-A (CON-A), Staphylococcus aureus Cowan strain I (SAC), serum immunoglobulins, and natural killer (NK) activity. There were no significant differences in T-cell subsets among steroid users and non-users, but lymphocyte transformation studies revealed that the anabolic-androgenic steroid-using group had enhanced proliferative ability to the B-cell mitogen, SAC, in comparison to non-bodybuilding controls. NK activity was significantly (P less than 0.05) augmented in the anabolic-androgenic steroid users but not in the non-using bodybuilders. Serum immunoglobulin levels, in particular IgA, were significantly (P less than 0.017) lower in the steroid-using group. Four of 13 steroid users and three of eight non-steroid-using bodybuilders had detectable antinuclear antibodies. These studies indicate that 1) anabolic-androgenic steroid use as practiced by contemporary athletes is a potent modulator of immune responsiveness and 2) autoantibodies are prevalent in strength-trained men even in the absence of anabolic steroid use.

Unless you have had liver trouble in the past (not just slightly elevated liver functions on blood work either) I think it's extremely unlikely that your liver has anything to do with the way your feeling. A lot of people often feel crappy while they are adjusting to the drugs at the start of a cycle, All three of the things your using have the capability to make you feel run down and sick for the first few weeks of usage. Your case does seem a bit extreme/long but I really doubt it has anything to do with your liver.
As everyone else has suggested, stress wreaks havoc on everything. The combo of the new stuff in your system and you going all out training due to being excited about your cycle are the probable culprits. Maybe slow down a bit and boost your Vit C and I'd bet you feel much better quickly.
