Default Realistic rate of muscle gain?

What is a realistic rate of gaining lean body mass without gaining excessive amount of fat, assuming diet, exercise, and medications are reasonably set? I know these numbers are different given how much lean body mass one carries above what would be possible without supra-natural levels of testosterone. So, what are these rates for a person who is 0#, 10#, and 20# above "normal"?

I know that a realistic rate of losing fat is about 1lb/week. But, I don't know a reasonable number for muscle. It would be helpful in order to approximate how many more cycles I need to do in order to reach my goal of 5'10", 200#, 7%bf. I'm currently 5'10", 190#, 11%bf, 33yo (after one long cycle).

This info would also be helpful in terms of setting diet and medication while on a cycle. e.g., if I'm gaining too slowly I can increase my intake of protein and calories. If I'm gaining too quickly, I'll assume that I'm putting on more fat than necessary, and eat less.

Any rules of thumb, or experiences, would be helpful.

Thanks,

-D

After your first cycle it's about 12 lbs a year until you get to where you'll need much more gear to grow.

what you are asking for will not help you set your diet and medication, because it differs so much from person to person. The only thing helping you attain your goal is the mirror!

No one can tell you that. It's too individual.

Ok, I guess I knew that.

Let's try to break this down.

What is this point a function of? Does this point occur when one has put on certain amount of muscle mass over what one could achieve without AS's? Does this point occur after a certain amount of exposure time to AS's? Does this point occur after a total amount of AS's are used?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-D

It directly related to how much past your genetic limit you are. The more mass you have over the limit the more AS you'll need to keep it.
