Default Feeling FLAT on a HIGH carb LOW fat diet?

Couple weeks ago I changed my diet around. I was always a moderate carb, moderate fat eater. I'd probably eat 60-80g fat a day depending on whether it was a training or off day. I pounded in the fish oils, walnuts, and almonds. And around 170g carbs a day, all within 1.5 hours after training.

So I decided lets try the high carb ultra low fat thing I see so many BB's doing. I bumped my carbs close to 400g, protein around 300 (like it always is), and fatlike maybe 10g tops. Basically coming from my oatmeal. I took out all the omega 3's and any added fats.

What I was expecting? To have a constant super glycogen loaded feeling like I get after a good cheat meal.

What I got instead? I felt like I was on a keto diet!? My muscles completely flattened out.

After two weeks of that I dumped it and started pounding in the fats again Saturday. Hoping I fill back out.

I've done a "steak and potato" diet before.....5 meals a day of top round and around 50-75g carbs of yams per meal. I also added fish oil caps w/ the first and last meal. I felt great on that diet, but I'm trying to get off of red meat because I keep hearing how bad it is for you...a particular acid thats in the meat I think (Phytanic Acid) ?

Everything in moderation bro. A steak every other day is fine.

Increase your EFA's and healthy fats and you will not be flat. Just increase a little each day until you find your 'sweet spot'........considering you are wanting it to still be on the lowfat side.
