Default Unusual Sleep Pattern?

Im wondering if this could work.

Say I sleep 5pm-9pm and then again 6am-10am. Can that work? Instead of one 1 8-hour period of sleep, 2 4-hour periods of sleep?

I wonder if I would feel tired as hell all the time, of if I would adjust to it and have it feel like normal.

Isnt GH output the highest in the first 4hrs of sleep? Would this make it like getting a double dose of your own GH?

Any thoughts?

I don't think this would work. I don't remember where I read it but your body needs continuous sleep for 7-9 hours.

This made me think of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer tried to sleep like 20 minutes every few hours, lol.

I've done something like this before (I work midnights). I used to sleep from about 9am to noonish and then from 6pm to 10pm - then go in to work. I was tired most of the time doing this. I currently stay up now until around 2pm and sleep straight through 'til 9:00 - 9:30pm. Shifting all of my sleep to just-before-work is definitely the best for me...

So what about the theory on GH release? Would it work like that?

I've tried the split sleep thing before and it doesn't work. You have to get continous sleep or your body just starts feeling like shit.

I might get some flak for this but using *** or something similar occasionally will put you in REM sleep quickly and help you get quality sleep/rest.
The downside is that people tend to abuse G too much. Look into it.

I have looked into and tried it quite a bit. Fortunately for me, I find it non addictive, along with most drugs. So consern of getting "hooked" is non-existant.

I have thought about using it though for a split sleep purpose though. I can take some and sleep 4 hours and feel refreshed and replinished. So, if I did this 2x a day, I should feel better than an 8 hour sleep time. Interesting possiblilty. Exception I dont like havin that shit, nor the taste of it, and its not as readily available. I wander if Kava Kava and 5-HTP and Melotinn combined could work in the same manner as far as going into deep 4 hr REM sleep.

Diclaimer: Today is opposite day. I never have nor will do G and dont even know what it is or where to get it.

While sleep is a highly subjective thing, I still think the 8 hours per night works best. Some doctors have stated that theoretically the 4 hour sleep intervals could work, but most people who have tried it end up feeling tired throughout the day. I'm in college too, it's hard to fit both sleep and workout time in the schedule. I think Dragon was right though, find a schedule that works and make it your daily routine.

sleep comes in cycles, you might have 2 or 3 rem cycles a night if I remeber correctly, and each successive cycle promotes deeper and different type recovery until you wake up.
So two 4 hour sleep cycles do not equal one 8 hour, specially for a growing boy such as you.
