Default Calorie Levels Early in cycle

I have always found that for me, mixing things up is key. Changing rep counts, throwing in different lifts, eating 3500 calories once a week when you are dieting (1600 calories), eating 1600 calories once a week when you are bulking (3500+ calories), etc, etc.

When starting a cycle with no orals, the earliest anyone ever really sees results is 3-4 weeks before things kick into high gear.

What about staying on more of a cutting type diet for the first 20 days of the cycle (Say 1600-1800 calories, med carbs, quality protein, cardio, lots of water). Then wham, 3500+ calories at the end of week 3? At the same time your blood hormone levels (let say test and eq for ex) are finally getting up there you hit your body with all those extra calories, which it is not used to.

It seems that loading up with a bunch of extra calories from day 1 might do no more than add unnecessary BF. I would be interested to hear if anyone has used this approach.

Blood concentrations from most "long esters" (enanthate, cypionate, undecanoate, decanoate) peak 24-48 hours after injection and then slowly decline from there on out. This means that peak anabolism should occur at peak plasma concentrations of the anabolic substance in use. Just because it is a long acting ester does'nt mean it's not in your blood quickly...It just stays there longer than a shorter acting ester. I think you need to take advantage of thie fact. Yes, blood concentrations of the hormone do build over a period of weeks, but that does not mean you are not at supra-physiological concentrations and thus very anabolic conditions in the first few days. Take advantage of this anabolism. If you feed the body it will make use of those nutrients because of the anabolic environment it is in. Once injected the hormone, of any ester, will exert its effects very quickly, but we don't see it because muscle growth simply can't happen that quickly. But that does not mean it isn't taking place.
