The horror of war; it's sounds, smells and images skew your sense of right and wrong. Often your sense of integrity is all you have left when you leave. Most fight to retain it, under impossible circumstances. It's a shame he just threw his away.

None of the guys I ever served with would pull any of that sick shit against the animals, we were well above that, I don't know what is wrong with those idiots.

Now, killing Islamic Fundamentalists on the other hand is STRONGLY encouraged!

In every race and religion theres fucktards. They slip thru the cracks and make it to adulthood because:
A- its illegal to beat or kill yr kids
and/or
B- weakminded people are scared to stop them from doing sick shit and straighten them out.

Cant watch the video makes me sad thinking about it. Now if he was throwing a person off the cliff I'd have to watch, but not a pup.

I'm not going to watch the video, but I will say this. The reason that something like this would upset so many people is he killed an innocent without cause. In the heat of battle civillians get killed by accident, and that can be excused as the cost of war. Killing a puppy for no cause cuts to the core of our being. People get outraged over mean, or cruel acts, and that is what this sounds like. Horrible things happen in war, but you have to retain your humanity.

i searched and found the video in another place. I have 2 responses to this ad/video

1. Most of us have NO idea what its like to be over in that world of war for months and even years. We can't even imagine how bad our minds would be fucked up seeing killing every minute of the day. I think it would be detrimental to all of our psychological aspects of life and effect our humanity.

The thing people forget is that the soldier is a human being. The military, or any other job, does not magically rule out the law of probability, it does not cure anyone's mental illnesses. I'm surprised that people get so uppity when a soldier does something, as if wearing any uniform somehow magically takes away the possibility that the person can be an asshole.

Just like most, or all, of the people you know wouldn't kill a puppy, no one I know would do that, either. But, just like there are people in the civilian world that would kill an innocent puppy, there are service members that will as well.

I'm still trying to find the article, but you must remember that part of our pre-deployment training is to learn about the animals in the area. We're told to stay away from the animals, and kill them if they're unavoidable (chasing you, etc.) because most of them are infected with rabies.


EDIT: When I did a search for "puppy," I didn't find any information on it, nor the video. Interestingly, right underneath that benign link was this link: Moscow Plagued by Packs of Wild Dogs. Here's a quote:

Like I mentioned about the rabies, maybe they were ordered to destroy the animals in the area for a similar reason.

Of course if you wana dissect it enough you can come up with scenarios like that. I dont think anyone was bashing the military, just bashing people with blood lust and a tendency to act cruely to those without the power to defend themselves. A commonsense reaction to a video like that in my opinion.

Would you have said, "now jimbo, i dont support what you just did but i realize you must be under extreme stress right now which couldve caused you to react that way so its ok." ? I hope not.

lol, no, and I wasn't suggesting that it was for mental stress reasons that he was doing it.
