Dear AF members,
The AFboard's "Member of the Month" plan was created and will be practiced each month as a way to recognize the board's most valuable members here at the site. It is designed to give thanks and recognition to members that make this board an enjoyable, informative, educational, and helpful place to learn and visit.
How this plan works:
At the beginning of each month, until the middle of each month, we will have a "Nomination Thread" posted where members can nominate other members for the opportunity to be voted as AFboard's Member of the Month. The last 2 weeks of each month, we will take those names and place them into a poll for voting. The person with the most votes at the end of the month becomes AFboard's Member of the Month, for that next month that follows. For example, if we nominate and vote in January, the winner will be our boards FEBRUARY MOTM winner for recognition.
At the end of each month, once the member has been declared a winner from the voting polls, a Private Message will be sent out to that member stating how to go about further with their BIO, as well as how to get their prizes. Please continue reading for further clarification:)
Here are the rules:
1. A nominee must be a participating member with at least 100 posts to their name.
2. No Mods or Administrators are up for nomination.
3. Only members vote, and not the admin or mods.
4. Please only state one person for your nominee vote. If possible give a reason why you chose this person. If more than 1 person is nominated by a member, we will only take the first name listed.
5. Prior WINNERS, are not eligible for re-nomination.
6. NO self-promotion or soliciting members for support. NO voting for yourself under any alias names either. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED.
7. No voting for yourself under any screen name. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED.
8. ****Upon winning, each member must write a short bio of themselves, along with answering a few basic mandatory questions that will allow the members to know their winner a little better. Nothing personal, just basic questions. Pictures are optional, but encouraged. The winner has the option in answering these questions however they feel appropriate in order to protect their identity. Examples of the questions are below.
9. In the event of a tie, we will then have a "next vote wins" sudden death. So if we have a tie among members at 14 votes, then the first person to receive the 15th vote wins!

WINNING PRIZES: Each monthly winner will receive:
1. $50 free merchandise from the AF Store
2. An AF T-shirt
3. A "MOTM" (Member of the Month) title for that month they win.
4. An additional 10,000 rep points next to their name, plus any of the rep points accrued by the MODS.
5. A mandatory winner's Bio of themselves up for display, along with all montly winners.
6. There name color will change to an ORANGE color so that everybody can distinguish them and their accomplishment to the board
7. Possible mention, along with any past winner, in any AFboard email sent out. Cool shit!

IMPORTANT: ****A winner's BIO is a madatory part of the plan, and each member MUST provide one once they have won. IF you are nominated for MOTM, but do not want to complete a BIO, then your name will be eliminated from the voting poll. Please let us know if this is the case for you. So once the winner is declared, he/she will receive a "Winner's Private Message" with further details. In this PM, further details for the Winner's BIO will be presented. The PM will mostly look like what is asked below. As stated above, you will then need to provide a BIO as part of accepting your role as a Featured MOTM Winner! As a note, the member's can choose what they want in their BIO's, in regards to personal information, but the numbered questions HAVE to be answered!
Upon being nominated, we will ask you in a PM whether you WANT to add a BIO or even be selected for the MOTM plan. You will then need to reply in order for your name to be presented into the poll the final 2 weeks. The Private Message after winning will first give the details on the BIO information. Once you have turned in your BIO, we will send you the information on prizes, and after the initial month of victory, your name color will then turn to Orange, to represent your status.

6. Who do you idolize and look up to in the bodybuilding, powerlifting, or weight training community, past or present?
7. What tips can you share with other people that you have found effective and that they might benefit from?
8. Any closing comments?

4.) A winning Private Message from AF staff will be sent to each member giving further details on the REQUIRED BIO.
5.) The winner will then need to turn in a BIO before receiving the prize information.
6.) Once the BIO is collected, a new PM will be sent with the PRIZE information:)
7.) The first month after winning, and as part of being a MOTM winner, your name will be a Light Blue color with the AF Trophy as part of the Avitar.
8.) The months after this, each MOTM winner's name will then turn to an orange color so that they are distinguished and recognized for their accomplishment to the board. HOWEVER, if you do not turn in a BIO, your name will not have this representative color until it is received!!!
Please Note: In asking why we have these mandatory questions as part of the plan, we have them so that we can learn more about each of our winner's and the wealth they bring to the board. In our opinion, we feel that they were recognized for their winning roles because they bring the board knowledgeable information, assistance in helping others, their own opinion on what has worked for them, and overall, their positive presence on posting at the board. We want future new members to see why each of our past winners were selected. Also, this will help in the presention of each winner, if the chance an email goes out by Ulter in the future.
Please help us make this a successful, positive addition to the board. Additionally, don't forget that there is more than one forum with awesome advice given from it's members. And please remember, this is the member's opportunity to give praise to those who help make this discussion board the best on the internet!!! Absolutely NO negativity will be allowed on this plan!!!
