Default Help with bulking

Ok, I give up! I've done this a long time but I can no longer get myself to grow!

I eat pretty much the same thing everyday, so if some of wouldn't mind....tell me what the hell I'm doing wrong here.

Wake 6:30

Pre work out
1/2 cup of cooked egg beaters
protein drink #1(+-48grms protein,6g carb, 2 g fat 240 cals)
1 cup of coffee w/1 sugar
1 seasapure
1gluc
1 t-rex
25mg dbol

Train 8:30-9:00 for 1 hour
cardio 15-20 mins

Post work out 10:30 to 11:00
Weight gainer Protein shake (65prot. 80 carb, 7 fat, 650 cals)
1/3 pound roast beef sandwich, deli wheat bread, 1 slice cheese, light mayo

Lunch
1/3 pound roast beef sandwich as above
1 cup broccolli or baked potatoe
Protein drink #1

Snack
Protein drink #1

Dinner
3 to 4 nights a week
12 oz NY Strip
Frozen Broccolli package, sometimes cauliflower
Potatoes

Snack before bed
Protein drink #1

I drink water throught the day and occasionally add in some junk food here or there. I alternate between the roast beef and turkey sometimes but that is pretty much what I eat day in and day out. Nights w/o steak would be chicken breasts or pork chop.

My cycle for the last 2 wks has been 25 mg dbol daily, 250 mg test EOD and 50 mg Tren EOD. Prior to it was 500 mg test Week, 50 mg tren EOD and 25 mg Dbol ED.

I have dropped to a light 215, was 230 2 months ago on 250mg test a week and 50 mg TREN EOD, no dbol. I had been running that since roughly November. I think my BF is the same, i would guess 14% or so.

WTF?

Add more food if you're not gaining weight.

^^^Says it all.

As for when/what, increase portion sizes, add another shake (or more to your current ones) if a whole-food meal would be too filling, start pouring olive oil on/in everything you eat/drink, slam a shake when you wake up to piss at night, do whatever. Or you could just look in BiggT or LJ5.0's journals to get ideas on how to eat absurd amounts of food.

(We need the :bulking: smiley back so I have a good way to end posts like this.)

more food, more times a day.

I looked at your breakfast, and I honestly didn't have to read much further. I didn't even know your weight, but that is simply not enough. here is an example breakfast that I used to eat when I was bulking; natural @ 180. It was absurd and took me a little while to finish, but it got results. This is the "conservative" one.

Breakfast
6 Whole Omega-3 Eggs
1 Cup of Dry Oats
1 Large Banana
20 oz of Skim Milk
1 scoop of whey.

1165 cal. 119 carb/91 protein/36 fat. sometimes I would even add 2 slices of wheat bread and 2 tbsp of ANPB. That's another 400 calories. 1565 cal. 166 carb/109 protein/55 fat

That may seem like overkill, but it accomplishes the goal. And, if you are ON, and taking things like Sesapure and Glucorell, you should be able to eat this and see TREMENDOUS results. Try to get in at least 5 meals a day too (all over 6-700 calories) And don't be afraid to not eat clean. That's where those two supps can really help as well.

Also, a lot of people are fans of milk and ANPB, myself being one of them. Try to drink a gallon a day of milk (preferably skim, but if you need more calories, go for whole), and eat half a normal jar of ANPB a day. Smart Balance has a really good blend of it now too.

If you don't start seeing results soon after, keep increasing portions. Let us know if you need any help. Good Luck!

Ditto to ZSteph. I remember when I was able to lift like mad, and I had to eat like mad to support it. While your snack is a protein shake, mine would be a whole dinner, for example. That dinner you have really needs more. Your dinner:

"12 oz NY Strip
Frozen Broccolli package, sometimes cauliflower
Potatoes"

My sample dinner
16oz round steak
1 cup chili
1 salad, no dressing, crutons, or cheese (but for you, these are probably good to have on there)
1 large baked potato with only pepper

Another option is to change up your protein sources. Complete vegan proteins are soy and quinoa, so try adding that.

Something I used to do was look at whole foods, as in "how much of this can I put together and eat all of?" For my side salad, I'd chop two tomatoes, two carrots, a small cucumber, and several handfuls of baby spinach, 1 cup broccoli, then add raisins or crasins and nuts, with balsamic vinegar (not vinegarette) as the dressing. That's just the side salad to the meal. It makes sure I get a lot of veggies, but also adds healthy calories.

I'd also give fish a shot. I remember having 2lbs of salmon as part of one dinner.

If you're in love with your protein shakes, there's no reason to kick them out of your diet, and I'm not suggesting you do. Try adding more. My protein shake consists of 1/2 cup nonfat, no-sugar-added vanilla yogurt, 100% juice, two scoops protein, 1 tbl natty PB with Omega 3, 1 packet green tea leaves (anti-oxidants...you don't taste or feel them in your mouth), 1 chopped frozen banana, and enough milk to get it to blend smooth. Add some cocoa powder if you want for a deeper flavor.

SBR, thats some more good examples of things to do.

That 2 pounds of salmon reminded me of this time I went to costco and bought the bulk pack of fresh tilapia. Something like 22 filets. I ate about 16 of them, 2 cups of brown rice, A LOT of broccoli, and 20 oz of milk... was that ever good. That was just one of 5-6 meals too.

Some good ideas on the protein shake. My typical bulking shake was 2 scoops of choc whey, 1 cup of oats, 2 bananas, 2-4 tbsp of ANPB, 20 oz of skim milk. 1190 kcal, 159 carb, 89 prot, 26 fat; 50/30/20% ratios(perfect imo)

keep us updated!

After I learned that tilapia are just...uh...filters for sewage, I stopped buying them. I'm stationed across the country, but being from WA, I wasn't a fan of farmed fish as it was. Farmed fish not only tastes worse, but has additives (farmed salmon has added color to make it orange...farmed salmon is actually white due to the diet), and also has added antibiotics thanks to the parasites living with them.

Give me a fire-engine-red wild caught sockeye salmon ANY day!

Speaking of, if you're a fan, try double or triple a sushi serving for one of your snacks. Dip it in a lil wasabi if you're worried about the extra sodium from soy sauce.

I'm thinking that cutting out milk and some of the fats that I loved so much is my issue. I'm going to add all of that back in and see how it goes.

drop or lower the cardio (if yr job keeps you in vascular shape just drop the cardio) and eat more like the others suggested.

I have to keep the cardio. I have high BP even with meds and cardio really helps.

I guess I changed my diet to accmodate the hih BP too and never realized it. A little Adkins here, Dash diet there and no wonder I'm a tiny 215.

I've been looking over years and years of logs that I have kept and lord knows how I manage to keep my current weight! I foresee 230's again in my near future!

Well, don't sacrifice your health on account of wanting to look bigger.

My mother is well over 300 pounds and has lower blood pressure and better cholesterol levels than women half her age. The key is her diet. She eats a lot of food, but a wide variety. Her staples are rice and garlic, which accompany any meal. Pickled veggies and fruits, like sliced cucumbers soaked overnight in vinegar and red pepper flakes, are also a common sight on the Chamorro table. Fresh fish, even fried whole, is also common. If you want some recipes from Guam, just ask.

Mine went up after I started smoking, so BigPapa, if you're a smoker, you might want to reconsider. Thanks to my eating habits, that still makes it really low, but still, I'd prefer it lower. I think the lowest I had was 86/52. They had to re-take it because of that, and a few times, my blood pressure hasn't registered. It's kinda funny, I always say, "Does that mean I'm dead?"

Hmm...well, maybe a different diet might help you. For example, if you want to try a Japanese diet, that could certainly help. Those people are known for their good health! Plus, they eat enough fish, tofu, and also beef that you can double, triple, or quadruple the portions to get the protein benefit while also getting the health bennies. My sister bought this book for me:

Click the picture to go to the Amazon.com link. It starts used at $13.27. It's worth the buy. There are some ingredients that you'll need to go to a Japanese/Asian s
