It's fun to read someone so far Right in Canada. At least he doesn't hide it. And I'm not surprised that he's quoting the Fraser Institute. I think only Cato is as corrupt as Fraser in the research it publishes.

Fraser published a report suggesting the government should leave the tabacco companies alone. That there was too much junk science being quoted about tabacco use. This was while taking money from Rothmans, British American Tobacco and Philip Morris.

The Fraser Institute has published material skeptical of climate change science since at least 2001. The Fraser Institute received $120,000 US from ExxonMobil in 2003-'04. Then ExxonMobil discloses in it annual statements that it contributed $60,000 to the organisation to work on "Climate Change". But the Fraser Institute does not list this donation on it's annual report.

The Fraser Institute receives only 10% of their funding from individuals and 90% from corporations.
